Winter is coming, I need pictures of enclosed runs avoiding snow!

WE WANT TO SLANT A ROOF, THEN ON 3 SIDES STAPLE A PLASTIC SHEET TO KEEP SNOW OUT. OUR YARD GETS 4 FEET DEEP lol, WE WILL HAVE A HARD ENOUGH TIME TRYING TO GET TO THE COOP, i DO NOT WANT TO SHOVEL OUT THE RUN. i WILL ALSO BE PUTTING STRAW DOWN FOR THERE FEET..... OOPS SORRY BOUT THE CAPS.

A slanted roof will be cheaper than gable. As far as your $350, how large a run you're looking at covering will be the biggest issue. If you're wanting a large run, you'll most likely only be able to roof part of it. IMO, metal roofing (if framed properly) is your best bet for big snows like you apparently get. So what size run are you considering?

We just roofed PART of our big chicken run this summer - it would have been VERY $$$ to roof the whole run, because it's 16 x 36.

Here's my little run for my bantams - easy to roof because it was only 4 x 6...

We can get really massive snow falls, as well as both hail and intense sun in the summer and pretty brutal winds from time to time as well, so I built my coop and run inside a large, garage type structure on our property. I just finished a larger, extended 10'X10' run from a dog kennel that I can let the girls out into that extends outside, but I know they'll have good protection in the winter.

You may not have this kind of option, but I thought I'd show it in case.
