Winter Quilt Block Swap 2013

It is the new swap that will be coming with Marty hosting, like our first chicken block swap, this way we will get enough chicken blocks to make a chicken quilt. So it has not been set up yet.

So would that really make a difference? I'm still learning and even though I send my block over the 12.5 x 12.5 size, if we add a border it would make up the difference, I have not put a quilt together as of yet, still working on getting enough blocks for my first one. so any information would be good.

Ok ladies, I have yet to get enough blocks for my first ever quilt, but what I need from you is for you to critique my blocks I send in I post pics so you can see which one I sent, but that is the only way I will learn and tips on putting the top together and then tips on the backing, to the batting would be great too.

Paulsmuffin,

Thank God she is only bruised. I am so sorry to hear of the accident, but thankful she is well. Amazing how in an instant things can change. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Balefire,

I am so excited to just get the blocks. Please do no stress over squaring them up!!

Hi girls , Majak and I are still on board! Will post on Friday so hope we don't delay things.....we know we are down to the wire. Fingers crossed the mail is more organsied than us!
Snow here today so country has ground to a halt.

Okay meant to go to the post office today but didn't make it. We are having lots of rain with flash flooding and I just didn't want to get out. I will see what tomorrow holds and hopefully get them out tomorrow or Wednesday. Sorry

Thanks to everyone for beeing so polite...........wrestling with a 200 lbs dog killed almost my wrist .........think I'm to old for that job. Today I want to ship them............made it to the post office..........and was to LATE *grrrrrr*. So They will go out on Wed, There I'm working late and drop them off BEFORE work

Congrats GRAND GRAND MOM and Grandmom..............the little one is adorable.

Looks like the guardian angles were quite busy

Marty I mailed out my blocks today. I owe you some money and will get it in the mail soon. The envelope in the rack said 5.35 and I sent 5.50 but she charged me 5.65. I didn't catch it until I got home. Sorry about that. I can now concentrate on the other swap.

Had a Burrowing Owl in my chicken coop yesterday. It must have been hunting mice. I got it out but it didn't really want to go. I feel sorry for wild things that get trapped but I finally got it free. It wasn't hurt, just frightened. I understand that they are becoming rare in this part of the desert so hope it will be fine. My neighbors peacock is still hanging around. Sadie chases it off at least twice a day but Fred keeps coming back. He's fun to see and he's quite used to humans, just not GS puppies that are as big as a horse.
