Winter Quilt Block Swap 2013

Mailed out my squares today and I have tracking numbers!!!! This time around, last time I didn't and not knowing is awful.

I am sorry I have not updated on my cousin's husband. They went yesterday and his results were great.

I do not know all the details but he will be going for another scan in 6-9 months. His thyroid is still enlarged and may have to be removed but they are going to wait. I know the cancer had spread to his lymph nodes, thyroid and ear so the new is wonderful. I will let you know if I get more details.

I have not squared up my blocks yet but will get it done this weekend and get them in the mail Monday. Does anyone know if we are doing a smaller (number wise) swap anytime soon? Thanks.

Bad news.You Ladies know that I'm a little short with blocks. So and now I got hurt @ work. My right wrist is swollen and hurt like hell. Iwill try to finish the blocks this weekend, but I can't square them up, hope you are ok with that

I am sorry you are hurt. I hope you heal quickly. I can't speak for the group as a whole but as for me I do not have a problem with it. I will just be tickled to get the blocks. take care

This weekend I'm going to start another poultry block swap for up to 12 folks. I was debating about changing the block sizes..... Thoughts?

This weekend I'm going to start another poultry block swap for up to 12 folks. I was debating about changing the block sizes..... Thoughts?

It doesn't matter to me. As long as I have time to finish them. I like most any block patterns and since strips will be used to piece the tops the size doesn't matter to me. I have never done circles but would be willing to try.

Ladies,

I will be finishing up my blocks this weekend, I wanted to share this with you. Wednesday of this week my youngest daughter borrowed my 2008 Dodge Durango to go visit my oldest daughter because her little car broke down. Long story short, she was hit head on by a dump truck on the left side of the vehicle. God is good, she walked away with only soreness and bruises. To think that in a split second your whole world can be turned upside down. I am sure the outcome would have been differant if she was driving her car. Take the time to tell your love ones how much they mean to you.
