Winter Quilt Block Swap 2013

Mnarty, the parcel from me is for next swap!

At my sisters with my iPad! Hoary! Staying with my mother to sort out the latest round of hospital appointments , it looks like she is going to have to have heart surgery sometime soon. My blocks for this swap are in the packet that Majack sent. The box with my address contains the blocks for the next swap.
Back home on Friday and doing a workshop on Saturday with a lady called Yvonne Brown, Majack is doing as well!
Will start the chicken blocks next week as our lane is closed each day between 7.30 am and 5.00 each day to be repaired, it is lucky that George is away on a school trip to Wales next week and Esther can catch a bus from next village at 7.20 each morning, I will have to find somewhere she can wait in the eve until I can pick her up. The nearest place I could leave the car is a mile and half away!! But the good thing is I will get lots of quilting done!
Going out for a big family lunch tomorrow as it would have been my fathers 90th birthday if he hadn't passed away at the end of 2011 , I don't see why we can't still celebrate !

Hi all,

I've not been on in a few. I'm sorry, this time of year is "crunch" where we start the countdown to the big end of year tests. I feel more stress this time of year than others, and I am cramming stuff down noggins and going over and over and over what I've been teaching for months now. Tests aside, it's been a month for sure. I broke my toes over Christmas, my hubbie shortly after broke the big joint on the ball of your foot and hobbled worse than me. On top of that when I mailed my blocks I confused all the envelopes and mailed my blocks to me. ?@? So, I fixed that and remailed them to Marty and they should be there any day. I heard they had some snow up there in Kansas this week, I am sure they'll thaw enought for it to be delivered. I am so sorry for the hold up and and I sorry that I had a moment and mailed my blocks to me.

Talking about breaking things........ My Mother in law came to visit this morning ( as she dose EVERY Sunday morning) and my husband has managed to fall down the stairs and knock her off her feet and break her shoulder!
The ambulance service sent a paramedic who did get here within about 20 minutes but we hd to wait for another hour ad a half before an ambulance was available to take her to hospital .
They have confirmed she has broken shoulder and sent her to a convalescent home.
What a day!!! Oh and the husband has cracked some ribs as well! I am just going to pour a large gin and tonic!

fenroise I'm so sorry to hear that, if they were not hurt it would have been a good laugh a month down the road, well good thing it was not your mum, or he may never live it down, course he may never anyway,I could hear it now "your hubby tried to kill me" I hope she and your hubby has a speedy recovery. Well you go ahead and make that 2 doubles you need a couple of good stiff drinks.
