How many have signed up so far? I'd like to get started in case we have a lot. I don't want to have to be doing them at the last minute. I think it will be fun....

Got you in, Stephanie, welcome!

I think we each can make 20, if that is okay with all of you. We still have a while before sign-ups close, so that will give us plenty of room. If less than that sign up, then I will just give duplicates of some to everyone. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Why not??!! I will be!

Coyote, I have 35 grandchildren that I make Christmas gifts for so Nov is a busy month for me. I work on them all year long plus gifts for other people too. I've already got three afghans put back, although one is a baby one for a new grandchild due in June. I'm also working on 3 quilts and at least one needs to be finished by Christmas and one before that because it's for the local women's shelter. Now don't you think I need all the time I can get? lol

I have picked out my pattern and ordered my fabric......going to get started as soon as it arrives, so I am not rushing around like the proverbial headless chicken (Yikes! Can I say that here!!??) at the last minute.

I found this snowman in a book of patterns that I have. He will be my inspiration as my blocks will be modified to fit the Blue/Silver color scheme, enlarged to the correct size, and I plan to make my snow guy more traditional....ie...."charcoal squares for mouth and eyes", and a colorful scarf instead of a solid colored body.....

I know that October seems like a long time from now, but with as busy as the summer months are the time will fly by!

I am excited to see the patterns everyone else comes up with!

I love it. I have two patterns so far to use and will look for more. One is appliqued and the other pieced. I thought I'd do both if not more for variety. I'm excited about this one as I love Christmas. There is still a child in me, maybe because as a child during WWII there wasn't much Christmas. I hope to start mine soon also but haven't got fabric yet.

I would like to get in on this quilt swap. Is it OK if the backing is white muslin fabric with the other colors appliqued on top of that?
