Should I be doing anything different for my hens in the winter ... more bedding .. different feed etc ... anything like that ?

If you have a dry well ventilated coop, nothing else is really needed. If you have a raised coop added bedding will add more insulation for their feet, but they will walk bare foot on the frozen ground in the run. If they need more energy, to fight the cold, they will eat more of their regular feed. You can give them a high energy supplement, but you don't really need to. I would make a plan to deal with the possibility of the water freezing. Oh and even thought they will walk on frozen ground a lot of them don't like to walk in snow. So if you want them to leave the coop after a storm you may have to shovel or throw something on the snow.

As already said, nothing special except providing fresh unfrozen water.
