Hello,
I have 6 meat rabbits. And I live in Michigan and the winters get cold. I have all of them in their seperate cages at the moment but I am asking what to do for them in the winter.
Thanks

Are you going to keep them in seperate cages? Is there a reason you seperated them? I'm not familiar with meat rabbits, I just have a pet, but if you put them together they would probably stay next to each other for warmth. You can try filling a cardboard box with hay and cutting a hole big enough for them to get in it so they can get out of the wind.
Add extra hay or straw to their hutch so they can get under it if they want. Make sure their bedding stays dry. You can insulate the water bottles to keep them from freezing by putting a sock or two over it. I put tarp around my hutch to keep the wind off of my girl, but I leave it off of part of it so she can get in the sun if she wants. I hope this helps.

As long as they are out of the wind and don't get wet they should be fine. Rabbits handle cold a whole lot better than they do heat. I don't think I would put two together in the same cage. Rabbits are territorial and they are apt to fight. You ought to be able to find a good book on rabbits on amazon.com. that will give you good advice. I personally like the books by Bob Bennet because they are geared for the person who has a few rabbits rather than the commercial raiser.

I raised NZW for meat in West Virginia. Mine had litters in the winter, except for January. My rabbits were in a cinder block shed, with a tin roof and sliding wooden shed doors. They had length of ventilation and were completely protected from wind, rain and snow.
