Just about to order a cage off amazon but want to make sure it’s the right size. I have Batam hens so they are pretty small. Do you think a 22in would be a good size?
Here is the one I was looking at.
We do have a small coop so want to make sure it’s fits

Are you looking for it to break her?
Can you post a picture of your coop?

Where are you located?
Do you have a predator apron around your coop and run?
If it's not too cold and the run is predator proof, you could set her up in the run.

We live in Northern California in a neighborhood in the city. We don’t have many predators. Maybe a skunk or maybe raccoon. But we have a camera in our backyard and haven’t seen any of these yet. We have had chickens for 8 months. We don’t have an apron around our run but we are making a new run right now and it will be predator proof.

Thank you! You are right.
If the broody hen comes out when I give treats to the others does that mean she might not be totally broody yet?
It means she isn't too far gone that it will take a long time to break her. I'd get her in the crate for two days and one night. Let her roost on the second night and see what she does on the third day.
