Hello

I'm still planning the design of my coop. I have a lovely one chosen that's also a trailer, so I can move it around the yard. Would it be okay to add wire to the bottom of the coop to make it more of a deterrent for predators? We have many raccoons and coyotes. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

u need some thing strong and small holes.but be careful coons will bite off toes through wire

If you can post a picture of it, that would be really helpful--so many of those little tractors do not look predator proof. I would not put wire on the bottom if it sits on the ground, because the whole point is for them to scratch around (which they love) and they could hurt their feet. A better solution would be to add a 2' apron of welded wire or hardware cloth around the perimeter--this would have to be tied up when you move it, and weighted down with bricks, etc...
