Hey everyone,

So I am terrible at keeping secrets and had to tell someone! LOL! I finally got my husband's birthday present. His birthday was on the 16th but this present took time and planning. I finally got everything set-up and he is officially here but DH doesn't get off work until 2:30am I need ideas on a good way to surprise the hubby with it. Soooo I got my husband a purebred male Savannah cat!!! It's his dream cat and I looked everywhere but they start at $950 for a low quality one. I managed to find a lady that was re-homing a purebred male F-4 Savannah that is already fixed and 4 paw declawed. I have been talking to her for a couple months and had planned on having him by DHs birthday but because my friends cat was at my house and causing so many problems we waited till today. If anyone knows about cats you'll know how expensive and rare these cats are. I am sooo excited. He is only 1 1/2 and has a lot of growing left but he is gorgeous! So how should I surprise DH with him?

Congrats on the new addition, Goth! He sounds like a beauty. You'll have to post pics. He sounds like a wonderful birthday gift for your DH. I'm sure he will love it.

Is the cat real friendly & curious? I could picture you putting him in the bedroom when DH is in bed & having the cat jump up onto the bed. But since when have cats ever done what we want them to do?

It would definitely be a suprise.

I'm sure whatever you come up with will be perfect. You already have the perfect gift.

Sorry about your loss, BTW. I've been kinda busy lately to do more than post in short little bursts.

I would not say a word and just let it wonder into the room! Might have to put it in another room 'till hubby gets settled. Then let it out and wonder around.

Ruddy is here! I'll post more later.

hi All, the lady showed right on time and took 15 keets.. they are now in Tomahawk at the "donkey lady's" home.. does anybody here know her ? a real nice lady.. Marlane..

one turkeyis pipped and in the meantime, 3 guineas hatched,,

I did not get the lawn mower started.. the choke cable was rusted/stuck.. I had to do quite a bit of disassembly to get it off. I got it off, loosened up and WD40'd the he11 out of it.. then Annie had to go to work so I had to come inside.. I will leave the charger on it overnight.. tomorrow I will reassemble everything and see if the beast will start..

In the meantime, I fiddled around with the push mower of my daughter's.. she said that it will start but will not keep running.. You know,? she is right.. I know how to fix it, but I was not in the mood to tear a carburator apart just then..

the peacock came close enough for me to toss it some small pieces of bread.. quite an improvement.. I did a mean thing.. one of the pieces of bread had some creamy horseradish sauce on it.. the chickens and peacock ate it all.. but when he got finished, he was wiping his beak on the ground.. I had always heard that a chicken could not taste "hot" like peppers.. I guess it is not the same for peacocks.. LOL

we did not get any of the rain this afternoon.. It went from hwy 29 to the south.. I am 5 miles North of 29..

It is getting dark, better go chase the last stragglers in and shut the doors..

Well, no time to read up on posts, heading to bed here to gear up for another long day at fair tomorrow. Just wanted to pop in. I have to tell you all about this SICK nasty looking chicken up at the fairgrounds. Yuck. It's butt feathers and tail feathers are all GONE, like they are right down to the skin and it just mopes around in its cage.. It looks sick, like it might have mites? I dunno.... hoping to run into the vet tomorrow and say something to him. Shouldn't be at fair that is for sure! I will have to sneak a picture of it tomorrow and share it here.

It has been a fun week on Oshkosh! Every day at work at appx. 3:30 the planes start zooming over our building. This morning we had fighter jets RIGHT over the building.... if one of them decides to go down.... well, all of us will be vaporized.

Managed to get a flat tire on the way home tonight..... thankfully it went flat after I had parked the car.

Going to spend time with the kiddos tomorrow, should be a fun-filled day.

Night all!
