Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Good Morning...another nice day today.

In regards to the poultry wormer. This is what works for me. Wormguard plus broad spectrum with flax seed. It's all natural and no need to worry about eating the eggs. I've used it for years, and have taken fecal samples to the vet to check for sure that it does indeed work. Nothing has ever been observed in my chickens poo!

It sounds great and just what I was looking for. Do you guys use it all the time like they recommend or just add it to a bag of food and when it's done it's done until fall? See we only deworm our other animals 2 times a year. Unless we see that there is a problem. Or if it's a really warm spring and summer then 3 times. Otherwise nothing in the winter. Only spring and fall. Is that similar to what you guys do with your chickens or is it all the time? I'm going to probably order 2 bags and save on the shipping. It also looks like a good website I'll have to check it out further. Thanks for the help.

Afternoon...becky I always order 2 bags at once too. I find it easier to mix small amounts at a time.
I mix 1/4 cup to about 4 lbs of feed in a pail and then pour into my hanging feeder. With the size scoop I use it's 3 scoops to 1/4 cup. Whatever works best for you.

They recommend to feed at least 90 days. I've done it year around most of the time. I've taken some breaks in using it too though. I would think a break during winter would be fine. The omega 3 in the eggs is kinda a plus though.

Glad to see BCC uses it also. I wasen't sure if I was the lone ranger or not!

Hello!

Back from visiting my cousins in Antioch IL and visiting with my daughter's new Neurologist at Children's in Milwaukee. I REALLY do NOT like this guy...... I wish we could still see the old one.

Anyway, does anybody have any ideas on a good pediatric neuro in the state????

Here is a funny; I was explaining chicken eggs to my relatives (fertile and not fertile) and my aunt was asking the best questions on how those eggs become fertile; but she forgot to ask about the shell being in the way (which was her main point), so we have a VERY interesting conversation on rooster activity....... and some minor demonstrations...... until the rest of us finally understood that she was asking how the egg becomes fertile with the shell on.... it was so funny because she was so straightforward and completely perplexed with the whole issue!

Boy I would love to butcher chickens with my relatives around and give them an anatomy lesson!

A very big day for me. Someone mentioned that we only have to put in 80% of a year to not have our vacation time prorated. My last day is now the 23rd of April instead of the 14th of May.
