I'm heading over to his house in the morning as I want to get a "birds eye" view of what he is talking about. Yep, I knew the badgers would lose...Oregon was just too much for bucky. Terri, how you mention the geese to be...whitetail deer do the same thing. After a storm I always go out and see deer beds with the snow melted and one can see bare earth. There was a reason why Native Americans dressed in deer skins

Neighbor never called me tonight. I will try to catch her tomorrow afternoon. She drives school bus to may not find out until after 5pm. She goes to her parents I think during the day since her husband works out of town.

Terri O, everytime you talk about your tortoises I feel like I need some. And your avatar just reminded me of them. They sound fun.

I put the 7 week old bantam faverolles out in the insulated coop the other day with a heat lamp. They seem to be doing ok. Maybe I wont have to have house chickens all winter after all!

Angiebubs, maybe if you got rid of your big roosters you would want a silkie cross? I'm afraid of what may happen to him here when he's mature. I have one rooster limping and another that's been bloody for 3a days. I finally put him in a cage in my garage because he's just a mess. One day he couldn't even open his eyes. Yet he still challenges everyone. Pretty sure he loses every fight. He's a bantam cochin and a tiny one at that.

Good Evening again everyone.

I just have to post this and I don't mean to bring anybody down or turn this into a pitty post but I do sincerely consider ALL of you extended family.
As you all know both of my parents were brutally murdered in a home burglary gone bad. Tonight it has been 10 years. Actually right about this time.
So today is not a good day for me and my family. Here is what my sister put in the paper today.

Today I saw one of the guineas in the nest and when she got up, yep an egg! I thought it was odd that they would START laying now, but if they weren't weird birds they wouldn't be mine

I also had to explain to Jasmine that January is NOT the best time to go broody.

We burned some of that ash wood tonight.... man dose that burn HOT! When it was down to coals (and yep, it held shape) it was almost too hot to add more wood. Think we'll be mixing it with the crappy wood to even out the burns.

Guess that's it... night all.

I'm getting the guineas back from the neighbor that I hatched for them. She doesn't like them !!! Crazy !!! I love my Guineas !!!

Jim I told L yesterday that I felt like a giant powdered sugar doughnut after sanding.

Going to inspect today to see if there's any touch up spots. Have to go to town today to do banking and go get chick starter

9 more days till the turner comes out
