These are my pumpkins that I have carved so far. Hope you enjoy them. I love carving them. The "Mater" one has been the hardest in all my life. I still have a bunch to carve though.
I LOVE HALLOWEEN!

Dr. Haha - I like your attitude. The world would be a better place if more people were from Wisconsin -- beer, fish, putz!! Who could ask for more.
I don't know if anyone buys their Purina chicken feed from TSC, but this weeks flyer has it for $9.99 -- pretty good deal. The flyer also says in WI after 12/1. Its in some stores now. I bought some last night. thought i'd pass the word along. Have a great weekend!
WOW!!!!! fordmommy now that's art! And it seems that you've passed along that artistic gene. I've always wanted to be able to do some type of artistic thing. My brain screams for it but my hands won't cooperate. Stupid hands. Best I can do is write my name in the snow when ice drinking, er I mean fishing. Hi cristy17 thanks for liking my "tude". I like it too, it's the only one I have so that's a good thing. I don't mince my words, it's inherited. Sometimes I think about my lack of tact but then I think of my Dad and G'pa. I'm light years better than them. But still I find that some people don't like the truth. At least as I perceive it. So I guess I'm doomed. Went to TSC after work today. Was asked to work yesterday and Mon. which are my usual layoff days, [32 hour work weeks since Feb.] And today for 6 hours. Bonus! Cracked corn for everyone! Anyway they didn't have any cracked corn for the girls, will have to make a special trip next week.
And no I didn't hug my chicken today but I did pick up Brownie and stick my nose in her neck like always. I swear she just about purrs. She talks in a quiet gentle way when I do that to her. She used to stiffen up when I first started doing but now she relaxes right away and coo's. She so pretty! And she knows it because I tell her several times a day along with the rest of them. And Bigzio an emergency fund is always a good idea but I did chuckle at your "then simply add it back" because I'm sure you probably have learned that when it rains it pours. One of my fav's is Just when you think you've got it made....... Pack by 10! Gonna go play with the kids for awhile. Yesterday they got roast fixin scraps I picked up Brownie and she had onion breath. I busted out laughing! Then I asked her if she'd like a tic tac.
Your more than welcome fordmommy and thanks for sharing, do you sell them or are they purely a festive decoration? My oldest daughter took up the alto sax when in high school. She brought it over one time and I asked some ?'s and started playing some notes and it felt natural. I was better than she was after her x number of lessons. She's now at Ks. St. to become a Dr. of Vet. Med. I'm a very proud Dad!!!!! I used to be able to read a few notes and some came back to me. I've often entertained the idea of picking up a used one just to play with on winter evenings. Thanks for reminding me that maybe there's an outlet for my pent up creativity. What instruments do you and your fam play? I like any kind of music as long as it's good. From Woody Guthrie to Marilyn Manson. But If I had one artists to listen to for the rest of my life it would be hands down John Prine. Maybe someday I'll get up the guts to blow dat horn. Had a good time as always out playing with girls. It's good to be the rooster!
Good Evening... What a great day outside today, eh.
I enjoyed a good day in the woods today. I have a nice deer hanging in the pole barn, from a successful hunt. The venison will provide many meals all winter. We process our own, and nothing goes to waste.
Nice weather coming for a couple days. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I'm going to. The gardens just might get tilled yet.
I still have my olds cornet from high school. I played it for 6years, and was part of the high school marching band.
I prolly can tweek farts with better sound today though...
Congrats on the hanging meat! A good night for hanging but might get a little warm today. I can't even count the number of deer that my best friend and I have cut up over the years for us, family and friends. He went to butcher school so he does the main cuts and I'm the trim man. It reminded me that there's a few pints of canned venison in the pantry. Might have to break one out for the game with crackers and beer. Yummie! Up waay too early. Fell asleep in the chair about 8 o'clock. Stupid chair! Yesterday while out and about I was looking at moving the lil mule out of the shed and spied a trifold wooden door. [Good Stuff] It's going to become a communal nest today for the girls on the north wall of the coop. Maybe they'll sleep in there instead of on top of the nest boxes. Think with them being hollow it will be warmer. Don't know how long they will last but if I keep changing the bedding it should be a good long while. I changed out a 60w bulb for a CFL yesterday in the coop don't know if it will start when the weather gets cold but it came on this morning at 30*. Might have to take the 25w out of the water heater and put a 60 in there. If you think I'm long winded and boring the crap out of you, tell me to shut up. I can take a hint. I'm not one of those of people that talk just because I like the sound of my own voice. No sir I don't go on and on and on about nothing. For instance Blah Blah Blah Bu Blah. Now you have me thinking of fresh tenderloins wrapped in bacon on the grill, have to go get my drool bucket. Enjoy your day!
