Good Morning!
DrHa Good luck with the tractor - I KNOW how frustrating that can be. I'm about as mechanically inclined as my dog... I can fix just about everything else, but if it runs on gas... I'm worthless.
The Wild Turkey was slow cooked on the grill and turned out pretty tough. I ended up making Turkey salad - great on toast. Split it up and gave my Brother half. He seemed to like it good enough.
I've been doing A LOT of reading on Quail. I think I'm gonna give it a shot if these mink cages come through... I'm gonna go with the Jumbos I think. I see you can get 100 fertilized eggs on Ebay pretty cheap. I'll wait till it warms up a bit though..LOL
I've been working on that darn wood stove in the garage now for a couple of days... Needed to beef up the sides and put new firebrick in it (had quite a bit of firebrick stacked in the basement when I moved here). Today, my Dad dropped off a pipe crimper (which should make routing the stove pipe a lot easier)... If this doesn't work, I'll be in the market for a new stove for the garage.... Keep your eyes and ears out for me.
We didn't get a lot of snow - barely enough- but enough to have to shovel.
The Chickens are happy and said to say HI!
Laters...
