Unk, I found the tougher stuff is the plastic coated cloth sold @ Fleet.

I need to start a database of who has what kind of birds so when I am able to have chickens/geese I know who to contact!

Off to the UW today to fix the Marine tank..... this is after PT conferences.

We used the plastic coated wire when DH built the avairy panels and he also made the hatching shelves for the incubator out of it. we ended up getting our wire from a place in Edgerton WI- Klubertons(sp), they sell off the role so you can get what ever amount is needed.

The nuthatches are singing love songs this morning, that's a good sign. Went out to feed/water the chickens. I opened the apartment door and Blackie ran right up to one of the nosy PR's and stood right up to her. Don't think she's a roo but just an assertive lil B.

The lil ones were out of feed boy did I hear about that

Here is a short and sweet post !! I'm at the Library in Rhinelander. Brought Ellie the Piggy to get spayed today.
I didn't get to bed until about 4am and set the alarm for 6:30am !!

I'm pooped. I was going to go back home and sleep but it would be another round trip of 62 miles that I don't feel like doing.

My time is almost up for computer time here at the Library so I will post later if I am able to sit up !! LOL

Anybody know what Welsh ducks are? Saw some on CL.

Picking up piggy between 3-4pm, It is going to be a Loooooonnnnnggggg Day !!

Morning everyone---took some medicine last night and slept pretty god but DH said I snored up a storm! My throat is so clogged up I am wondering if I have strep? Other than not being able to swallow I dont feel too bad; but I have been sitting here for a while...still trying to decide if I will go to my client's place or not. Dont want him to get this crap for sure!
We can count as 4 for 4 on the shoulder thing...mine still goes crazy when I sleep sometimes. I didnt fall though, it is from wrestling a naughty sheep that didnt want to go where I wanted her to go!
Yes CC--I am not thrilled at having to catch the skunk but I dont think it will move on while there are eggs to eat! I have no idea how I will move it once I catch it...it really doesnt need to be killed--just moved to another place.
That hen is not a breed that I can tell. She is from my partridge laced, black tophat hen(super Mama) that lives in the barn. Her father is probably Phoenix(a Phoenix), but could be Turk (cuckoo turken), Junior (OEGB from H&R) or Cody (Phoenix's son) THey are so well mixed now that it is always an adventure as to what they will turn out to be! I am keeping my fingers crossed for babies! I have two more that are thinking of going broody and I hope they hold out until the 11th! As long as we are being FOOLISH and hatching more eggs I might as well fill the bator and set the broodies for this hatch! WTH--if you are going to feed birds you might as well FEED BIRDS!!!! Yes, I must have a fever and have gone off my rocker....

Wow--I cant believe that worked! Here is a blue laced red wyandotte. I cant go back and see if yours was BLR or RLB I will look for a pick of the other too.
THis is a very nice looking bird and I sure wouldnt mind having him...he is in gallery two at Feathersite. If you want to go and look at more here is the link. It has great pics of the hens and chicks too.
