I took my oldest DD out today to TSC to get her a pair of ducklings since she has decided to wait on the goats and wanted ducks instead. I figured if we were going to do more ducks we better do it now before the age gap is to much. The TSC worked said both ducklings were Mallards but one is black. One for sure looks like a Mallard duckling but one looks like a Cayuga Duckling.  What do you guys think? 


She names this one Scurry





And this one is named Chip.

I think you've got a cayuga and a rouen there. Mallards have one eye stripe, rouens have 2.

I just googled Rouen ducklings. How cool. I didn't even notice the two stripes on the eyes. It's funny, first I got 2 Pekins from TSC and they told me they had no clue what they were, now I get two more ducklings and TSC tells me they are both mallards, and they're not lol. Good thing I wasn't looking for only a particular type of duck.

Welcome to all the new people, I am relatively new too. I use to be a lurker, but finally decided to sit towards the front row and ask questions, instead of the back row where im most comfortable! this place is a wealth of information if you remember to weed through some of the BS ( no names mentioned).

Apyl- no more pictures of duck, im getting sucked in and I'm almost positive they do not count in chicken math! LOL although I even showed the pic to DGF and she said no, dont you have enough right now! If she only knew! (insert evil laugh)

C'mon people ducks ROCK!

Finally sat down and did the taxes...... glad that pain in the butt is over with for another year. Before I tackled that job, I made a lemon meringue pie for my former neighbor. She is in the hospital not doing too well and since she LOVES my cooking I thought I would visit her with a surprise! We had a nice visit chatting about the rest of her extended family and the all my old neighbors.

After my visit, I came home and all of us piled into the car for our consultation with the Orthodontist..... yikes! Of the four kids, the two middle ones will be getting braces.... and I bet the youngest will be following in their footsteps. My youngest DD has impacted teeth that they are going to attempt to coax down without having to do any surgery, the one is REALLY bad, looks like it is starting to lay down on top the roots of her adult teeth.

Thank goodness for flex spending accounts. Of course it will take a few years to pay for all this work, but I know they need it.

I better hit the sack. I have not been getting enough sleep since the time change!

Haven't had a chance to read one post on here since last night. Had a suck @ss day today. Sump pump took a dump & the basement is full of water. Guess what DH will be doing, and saying, tomorrow?
