Good evening! I am up with the late ones tonight it seems! DH didnt get back from work until 8 or so so we decided to go out and eat. It is such apain if they dont know you at the restaurant (and they should have at this one) to tell them about all the Gluten Free sh!t! Sheesh--almost like you'd rather just eat at home for sure! DD26 came by with her friends so it was nice to see them too.
When we got home there was sad new...one of our cats was dead. RIght in the middle of the LR floor..he was pretty wet so I think the dam^ terrier and her accomplice probably contributed to his demise. THey had attacked him a few weeks ago; we should have kenneled them before we legt I guess....DH is pretty broken up about it because it was one of his deceased Mom's cat...he has been here for about 5 years and has been nothing but a pain in the *****...I feel bad for the cat and for DH...but I cant say that I am sorry he is gone. (I hope that doesnt make me a bad person, but I am looking forward to less puke and piss on my counters and couch for sure!)
In chicken news...I have 16 new fuzzz butts in the chick TV! I got it cleaned out tonight after the ducks and geese in there
. Man they are adorable!!!! I left them in the incubator as long as possible. The first to hatch was 3 days ago so I thought it was about time! I have one with fuzzy legs so I thought it was a cuckoo marans...but looking closer I see it has puffy cheeks! Shoot--I thought this was the "PURE" hatch! Maybe that is the next one? I left 2 or 3 pips in there and one that was almost out. One of the ones I took out had the shell stuck on it's butt so I will have to keep an eye out for it. one leg seemed to be back...if it still is tomorrow I will hobble it.
Nice prom pic! Everyone looks so fancy! That always amazed me to see kids dressed up that usually have their pants hanging off their butts! I hope they have a great (and safe) time! Oh yeah BL4...if you have some extras of those calls...I have 3 drakes here waiting for girlfriends! The original pair I got from you is on 6 eggs again...5 of theirs and one of the others'...I lost the hen last week that I got from Carol with the drakes.
Looking forward to seeing MXM tomorrow! I think she is bringing her daughter to have "the tour" maybe if it is nice we can do a pony ride!
Trying really hard to remember what else I was going to reply too...nice job on the turkey and turkey calling BigZ! I went to a park today in town that is hardwood forest to look for Ramps and Morels. I didnt think I would find morels but I didnt find either! I pulled up some and tasted...nope--they were lily of the valley! I did see a neat wildflower that I dont know the name of. Will look that up next....
Hmmm--what else? CRS strikes again unfortunately! Guess it is time for me to hit the hay...this is what I get for taking a nap today!
