Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Bigz... the maters were lovely. I was able to get a couple plants growing. I think I tried for a dozen of them and got 3 or 4. Those orange hearts were pretty good.

it worked. Ok here are my new d'uccle: One pic is my black mottled hen, one show my own mille fluer pullet with the new blue mille fleur pullet and one pic is the porcelein rooster( 3 months old) They black mottled and the roo are moderately friendly but we will be working with all three. Our own is super sweet so hoping these will be too!
What a cute little silkie. And what adorable d ' Uccles too! And an adorable little girl! :love I just stopped in to say hi to everyone, been a while. I was just catching up on reading (and I read )so I didn't get nery far before I ran into these cute pictures. I am very very tired. Went to a swap yesterday and wore me out. The part about waking up at 4 am was a big part of it Well I guess I will be finish catching up later. Take Care everyone! Night.

Sunday Evening Already...where did the weekend go? Give Donny a high five for me Doc, and a way to go! Now on with the horns,eh!

My little saw is a McCulloch 2014...the oiler works fine, and I'll check the bar...thanks for the help. It has alot of hours on it for sure.

Suzie canned another 12 qts and 9 pints of V7 juice...we didn't have any spinach this batch...you would never know it by the good taste it has.

Good luck with the tractor Jim...hope it comes to life again soon for you.

I'm only cleaning up feathers in the cops TO....OH MY...they are like leaves in the fall on the ground around the spruce where they lay and preen. I like a halfway clean coop.

Nice pics, thanks for sharing them.

Did you guys grow any maters from the seeds I sent you..? MLH and Kris....just wondering.

bigz
my DH was wondering if you have shared this receipe already on the thread? Would you be willing to post it- he likes this type of juice Thanks!

Good late evening! I just finished canning up 14 pints of salsa. Had to have the last 1/2 cup with some chips for a snack. I made it kinda hot I think. Used Bigz and Susie's recipe with a few changes (of course) I always have to add extra stuff! At any rate, it is GOOD! NOt many tomatoes left out there now. This is what I made into salsa today...30 lbs worth:

Here are the cement chicken statues that I have. There is a guy at our farmer's maarket that sells them. I prefer the unpainted, but he does have them painted up too. These are $17 each I believe.

Unfortunately the rooster fell over on his beak and broke it...or somebody banged into it--hard to say around here!
I guess I'd better get out and lock up...getting late and it's a full day of work tomorrow!
Nighties! TerriOwithdroopyeyesandtomatoeyfingers

(PS) Carol I am sorry to say that your new truck is butt ugly! LOL!

Hi ALL!

DrH....Dare we ask how? Quote:
krist.... Awww... what a little cutie! Pretty hens! The girl is cute too

TO... I know what you mean about keeping you cool with the dogs. Ruddy hasn't been too bad. a firm RUDDY (to get his attention) and a Firm LEAVE IT is all it takes to get him to stop. Love the cement pair! If I had the cash now I would see if you could get me a pair. But alas, spent my money on herbs.

Carol.... Hey, that truck has Character! LOL... my truck is almost as bad!

Not a bad day today Second Son came over with a truck full of wood and his chainsaw. So young son and him cut down and cut up 4 dead trees. While he was doing that DH and I went to DIL's Dad's house for the last day of his rummage sale. His wife died several months ago and my son and DIL and the kids moved in a few weeks ago while they remodel their house. Anyway, it was a good time to get rid of allot of stuff. His wife was in basically the same shape as me, but much worse. Anyway, they were saving her walker for me! A nice one with a seat!
bow.gif
That will help allot! It's even nicer than my son's! I thought about trading with him, but it's too short for him and can't go big enough. So it will stay mine!
old.gif
I don't need it all the time ...yet... but it sure will be nice when I do need it. I got a few other things to they just gave me. Everything else is going to charity tomorrow. Then when we came home, son was gone but Daughter showed up and brought a bunch of produce! She even brought a bag of those little hard pears ... the ones to make spiced pears with!
ya.gif
So I have canning to do! Not a whole lot, but at least I can get in on all the talk on here!

Birdies are all good... I was watching George and one of the hens today. It was so cute... he was picking up "goodies" and placing in front of her and cooing the whole time!
love.gif
What a nice gentleman he was!

Time to make their mash and head for bed.... night all!

Good morning! I am amazed...I am the first to post this morning?
ep.gif
I only had one post to read too...where in the world is FT? I hope their computer isnt acting up again.
Not much to say from the overnight...got the salsa done and it is all sealed this morning. The "waste" juice is bubbling in the crock pot. I think I will turn it down before I head off to work. It is almost ready--just the spicing up left to do now. Never did get potatoes dug yesterday--maybe tonight after work? Depends how ornery my clients are today I guess.

Well, better hit it--lots of work to do today for sure. Have a great day! TerriOenjoyingthecoolweatherforsure

Good Overcast Morning All! Cind Think your asking how my step brother and I can be 2 months apart. The clue is the word step. Parents got married when we were 7. Step mom was divorced and my mom died when I was 1. TO nice lookin tub of maters! Those unpainted birds do look kinda neat. Didn't happen to find that missing metal roo head did ja? Kris loved the pic of the momma and baby and the one with DD the best. Cool lookin birds too! Bigz actually Donny doesn't hunt and couldn't get up in a stand if he wanted to. Guess I should call my BFF by one of his names. It's Bryan. So Bryan said last night that he was going to work on the deer and might just get it done without me. He took the backstraps and tenderloin out for steaks and the rest will be grind meat so it goes pretty fast. Won't hurt my feelings if it's done other than we have a good time when we cut. Donny always wants to do things the hard way. I asked him the other day how many nest boxes he wanted he said 10.
roll.png
I asked him how about 9 a half sheet of plywood makes nice 16 X16 boxes. Bry and I delivered them yesterday the dang things are better than mine. WCc I know a guy that did that with a little Nissan truck and drove it for 10 years. Had a lot of duct tape holding the cab together but if it gets you from A to B that's all that matters. GR65 glad you made it home ok! Thinking you guys made great progress on the Oliver. Dan think that off balance Husqy is a 435. I was in the shop not too long ago with the mower tire and see that they changed the saw so the handle goes all the way across the power head.
somad.gif
Should trade the SOB in. But that would cost money. Bry just called the doe is done.
ya.gif
But I know he'll need my help soon.

good AM, got some nice photos of the almost completed tractor.. some day I will learn how to post them.. Adam is doing most of the work.. I sneak off to F&F occasionally for parts..

Kim brought the puppies along for the ride.. I am afraid those pups are going to be too spoiled.. They have her pretty well trained already..

Hope you get that bator , Dan,, just consider the gas burned as part of the payment of it..

I just got a sexy email from a 23 year old girl that I used to talk with on Facebook..........WAIT !! I was never on Facebook.. Hmmmm I wonder what she wanted ?? I wonder if she is really a girl ---------- somebody on here didn't tell her about my shaft problems, did you ??

still no hits on my ads for birds for sale.. It is going to be a shame to butcher all those nice pullets..

getting light out.. and my first cuppa is mostly gone,, and now cold in the cup..

can somebody send me a basic schematic of an ignition circuit for a 12 Volt tractor ? so much for Google.. I give up..

.............jiminwisc...............

Good morning everyone! Love all pictures- so cute
smile.png

We surprised the kids yesterday by getting them goats! 2 fainting boys, and one pygmy girl. All about 7 months old. We put them in with the chickens, and surprisingly they all seem to be getting along. I thought the chickens would be scared, but my mother-in-law put out some apple peels this morning and they were all eating together. The 2 boys aren't very nice to the little girl though. They even head butted her a few times when she was trying to eat the apples. My poor DD6 almost started crying thinking about her poor baby getting hurt. I told her I would take care of it, so hopefully I can figure something out

Well gotta get going and get ready for therapy. Have a good day all!!
