Morning all!

My chickens haven't molted yet and I hope they don't over the winter.

We saw snow coming from the sky here and it stayed a few minutes on the ground, but there is no evidence of the white stuff around here!

Tomski-what are the characteristics that make a Dorkie? Our dog is a terrier mix and we've been asked whether she has Dachsund as well. How do you know?

My dog is a Cairn Terrier/Dachsund cross. He's about 14 lbs. and has the long body of a dachsund, but the hair of a wired-haired dachsund and Cairn terrier. He kind of looks like yours, except for the color, of course.

I love seeing everyones furry little loves and feathered ones too! Here is our christmas pics.Packer dog goes in for his neutering on Friday unless the office is closed.
Kids have off the next two days for snow emergency. And I will have an extra crazy little boy on Friday. Hopefully some sledding that day. Need to find time to wrap gifts too. If i am not on here.. .Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you get everything you wish for!

good PM, I did not get the tractor finished,, but I am on the downhill side of the project..
got the two reservoir tanks set in place and bolts and hose clamps in place, but not tightened down yet.. I checked my bucket of hydraulic oil.. the water has settled out of it.. I can reuse most of the 5 gallons.. luckily for me,, because that stuff costs about $14,oo a gallon..



I had a strange thing happen.. My good barred rock rooster went into convulsions.. he lost his equalibriam, and was sort of "rolling " along.. doing summersaults and couldn't stand up.. Naturally all the male birds of every species decided to exert their dominance on him.. I chased the other birds off and picked him up.. I instantly figured that he drank some of the spillage of anti freeze.. So, figuring he would die soon anyhow,, I experimented with some first aid..

I held him by his feet and swung him in a vertical circle about 3 times.. I figured that might force the fluid out of his mouth.. then I put him into a cage by himself.. He instantly settled down and in about an hour I turned him loose.. we will see if he is alive tomorrow.. He looked fine tonight ..

DrH, try that with L, maybe it is a cheap fix..

Had a small celebration last night.. DD#2 graduated from nursing school.. she has one more test to get her RN status.. On the other hand,, DD#1 lost one of her part time jobs.. she says she is not going to look for anything until after Dec 21, though.. has everyone here maxed out their credit cards and bought new cars ??

I am thirsty from being outside.. maybe I will break away from my diet long enough to have a brew..

chipped a tooth,, dentist tomorrow.. and the puppy has to go in for his booster shot.. busy day .No snow here yet.. maybe it will miss us ? not likely..

Chicks all snug in their cribs, wondering what the next day or two will bring. Concerned about getting to work tomorrow and/or getting home. Blegh, can I push pause for a day, then it wouldn't be a worry and let it snow!

I didn''t get much sleep last night,, I was watching Duck Dynasty and I kept falling asleep..

maybe another brew and then watch some TV from bed.. that should put me to sleep..

The snow should be interesting tomorrow. The DH decided to park the vehicles close to the road so we could get out. Ima thinking they will get hit by the snow plow,or a car out of control, but, what do I know?

Planning on staying home if I can.... only time will tell.

Jim, you could have given the bird some ground charcoal in water to absorb the toxins of the anti-freeze.
