I thought that was the def of a triangle? Makes me laugh and I need that this morning! I am going out to see those miserable turkeys soon. Had a not so fun time last night catching and giving them shots. I need to find the water soluble Tylan too. Then this morning someone chastised me on my plan to medicate all the ones that have been exposed in hopes of it not spreading to the free rangers! I just dont have enough pens to move the turks into a separate place. They need somewhere with a LID because they fly so well already. I could put them in the dog kennel but where in the world would I go with my dogs while I am at work?

My cieling fan in this room is dying...I tried having it off but it is so blasted HOT in here! I guess I will need to go to Menards and get another one...you can hear the cogs (or whatever they are) in the motor rattling around and once in a while they get stuck and the fan stops so I have to give it a push and it goes again...for a while.

I am going to the Hoared Museum in Fort Atkinson today. Our Master Gardeners club is being auctioned off to make $$ for the museum. Thank God it is for garden planning and design and not for weeding! I sure have enough of that to do at my own place! There is also a wine tasting of WI wines...dont think I will partake in that though!

Guess I better get some more coffee and then outside to check on those poor birdies...I sure hope this Tylan works...maybe I will be lucky? Terri O--just tryin' to stay cool!

Demo at the farmers market was GREAT, the booth I was at never slowed down, passed out 50+ BYC cards. Will see if we get some more cheese-heads on here.

I didn't even have time to take pic's all I got was 4, the most popular part of course was the chicks which hatched the night before.

Ugh what a day/night/morning!!

Had family reunion, and the second we got there Damien was acting strange. He was just whinning and denying food! He had a low fever, which we were giving ibuprofen for. Well we took him in the house (GORGEOUS may I add.) and took him downstairs where it was quiet and cool. Well he was laying on one of the beds and started having a temper tantrum. So, I walked out and shut the door, as when he has temper tantrums me and DH don't try to cuddle him. He has them all by himself. Well, after he settled down, I walked back in and he PUKED all over this persons BED! ARRRRGHHHH! I go to my family reunion and the best way they will remember me is my son puked on their bed.

After he puked he was fine, and ate some food and whatever. We still controlled a fever, and didn't get into town until like 11:30 last night. Which, the baby was still awake when he goes to bed at 8:30! So, we put him down and he goes to sleep and we got to sleep. So I thought. At 2 in the morning, hes screaming, burning up to a temp of 102 (much higher than it was all day!) and is just sobbing. So, more ibuprofen and he won't go to bed. DH had to leave the house at 8, which is early for him so I went into the living room and tried to get the baby to sleep on the sofa. Finally after his fever broke, he was able to go to bed at almost 4.

He did wake up without a fever though, so I'm excitied about that. He must have had a 24 hour bug. My dad is a natzi when the baby has a slight fever, and he thinks I should take him to the ER every time. I try and tell him it's because of his teeth but hes just...I don't know.

Now we have Damien's (DS) girlfriend's (

) B-day party to go today, she's turning 2. I need to take a shower, but don't know how that will happen cause DH is gone. UGH.

Good morning everyone! Raiquee glad to hear your baby is doing better. Always felt so helpless when the little ones were sick. You do what you can to ease their pain. TO hope the your medicines work! annarie it's not that you make a mistake it takes a true craftsperson to be able to fix them. WOW BCC that looks like a really nice place to hold a farmers market. Maybe that little girl will end up on here someday. Bigz don't you just love it when you think you figured out something really cool and turn around and it all just goes down the toilet. I think they call it a learning experience. Thanks for the well wishes on the bating, agree with Jim on the quandry. There's only one egg left for eatin and I offered it to L this morning. I'm hearing an egg song outside Blondie was on the nest a few minutes ago. Thinking of changing Goldies name to PIA. Pain in the A**! Man she is naughty. She's the most inquizitive of all of them and is into so many places that she knows she shouldn't be.

bec was thinking if of your offer if the hatching doesn't pan out we're gonna talk. Wondering how a penciled/sl would look. Of course I would need a roo. Hope your baby goat fares well! Some of the slw's are starting to go in the nest boxes and practicing making a nest. Shouldn't be laying for 2 months yet but glad to see their on the right track. Had to move the big girl roost into their appartment it was getting pretty tight on the lill girl one. My old supervisor used to say that the laundry was shrinking his work shirts. When I made cin/raisin bread the other day I modified the recipe a tad. Added an extra tbls of cin and rolled it out flatter than recommended to give it more swirl inside. Had to have 3 pieces this AM. Ate one then had to have another then their seemed to be room for just one more. Bad naughty Dr.! Kickin butt as sometimes usual processed some jalapenos, made creamy cuc's, organized and did an inventory of the freezers. Looks like we planned our larder pretty well except for the japalenos. The new crop of vegies will be timed just right. Need to start doing up the grn peppers pretty soon and should be getting nice sized beans too. The cuc's are coming along nicely too. Really need to make some pickles. A lot warmer than last summer and the veggies are liking it. Have great one!

Raiquee I hope your baby is feeling better. Sounds to me like he might have had a touch of food poisoning. Just my opinion. The fever and screaming is what makes me think that. Kids can't exactly say....hey...my stumach really hurts. But it all clears out within a day or two. If no one else gets sick, I really think that's what is was.

Sure wish I would have known where you guys were BCC--I think I "need" another quail! My DH just loves this little one. She is very tame now....maybe because I have only one?

The meds are working for the turks! The two I injected yesterday are much less swollen today. I am moving them all to a separate place so hopefully nothing else catches this thing. I talked to the guy who I got them from and he has not seen it in his flock...doesnt mean that they dont carry it though. His wife is a vet (lucky him) and they are going to test the flock now. He will let me know. Does anyone know the site that talks about state support for neg MG flocks? I read so much last night and I cant seem to find that particular site today to let him know.

Cut weeds along the fenceline today so the horses could go out on new pasture. My legs are tingling from walking in all the stinging nettle! Got everything cut down and fence connections secured and we have 5 lights on the tester again--YEAH!

Didnt get to the museum today...blamed it on the horse fall. After the fence I had no energy left to talk to anyone. Now I am going out to fix the pond pump...must be gunked up. I sure dont want to have standing water...the skeeters are bad enough here!

Forgot to mention that I finally now own a good copy of Quest for the Holy Grail. Nee! It was on IFC the other evening so no mercials. Who are you who that is so wise in the ways of science? TO so glad to hear that the meds are working and you have 5 lights! We're havin a pork roast with taters, carrots and creamy cuc's. After touring the garden again think some peppers will be stuffed with my spanish rice tomorrow night. I do so love stuffed peppers! Was talking to someone the other day and they couldn't believe we ate the pepper too. Silly people, that's just way wrong!
