Good Morning Everybody! Jim you were all prepared for surgery and it didn't happen.

I have one Aunt left and in not the best of shape. TO thanks for setting up the Bash site! Hope you figure out your cats issue! Thought things were going pretty smooth with the kids until I got up this morning. Egg shells and cucumber peelings on the kitchen floor. Someone named Toby was in the chicken bucket.

judge may all your eggs be fertile!!!!!! Cindy I know L put quite a bit more bacon in it, you got a piece with nearly every bite. Hope Ozzy settles down but you know how that goes. CC hope your sinuses feel better soon! The girls are really laying a weird pattern now. 6,2,3,1. Thinking an arm load today.

Well my seats look nice and one extra large $5 table cloth coverd all 6 chairs. Lets see how long it lasts!
On a side note, my chickens are scared of the suet feeder. Wont go within 3 feet of it. Which is pretty comical. Dont know what their problem is. My 6 month old Speckled Sussex roo is starting to try to crow.. sounds like an old Ahooggaa horn. The girls look at him.. not sure if they are impressed(most have only the silkie roo to compare to) or are laughing at him.
Still have not come up with a good name for him...his girls are Polka and Dot.

well I am off to work..good day everyone.

good a.m.
getting a slow start here today.. must have been the night for weird dreams.. I can never remember my dreams after I wake up, all I know, it was weird..

the turkey is still "trapped" tn that corner.. I guess today I will have to rescue her.. if she is still alive.. I don't know how I am going to wade through those brambles, though.. maybe take Ollie and crush a path through them.. then the stupid bird will prolly move to a different spot where I won't be able to reach her either..

well, I just got off the phone with Annie,, what timing, eh? she said I should crush the whole patch down.. I did that with a different patch a few years ago, and it came back with a bumper crop after that..

well, at least now I have a project for the day..

Good morning!
Clowns huh Cind? One time my DD and her friend "terrorized" another friend that was being snotty with a clown doll. They were at the state horse show and really got chewed out by the adult in charge! I thought it was pretty funny...had no idea how many people hate clowns. Must be something in their upbringing hey?
I hear ya about the kitties and the chicken bucket DrH! Mine were at ours last night too. They could smell the chicken bones inside even through the filters! Unfortunately mine has holes in the cover and the new cat Jackson knows that if he puts his claws in the holes he can sometimes get the lid off. They ate many bones by the morning! Darn cats! That one may end up back outside if he doesnt straighten up pretty quick! I dont care HOW cute he is! Of course he is sound asleep on the kitchen table right now--I think I will wake him up!
I sure wish it was a tad warmer outside; only 19 on the porch. At least the sun is out though. Carol is supposed to be here at 10...I guess I better get outside and get the chores started! Sheesh, what happened to the early morning?
Have a good one--TerriOlatelatelate

Jim have you noticed that for the last 4 days (I think) I have posted directly after you? DrH and I used to do that for a really long time...I just had to say that my DH doesnt remember his dreams either...but he did yesterday for some reason. He said he dreamed that he just got off the airplane and was on the tarmac and all these cats came out of nowhere and surrounded him. Hmmm--kinda sounds like real life...I guess it was because he had to feed them the night before! LOL!

back again,, like the rabbit said to his girlfriend,, this won't take long, did it ?

I got coffee made and while it was perking I fed the birds, crushed the blackberry patch and "freed the turkey"..

Yeah TerriO,, we are back at the same time posting again,, I didn't mention it because I figured it would go away..

I should have taken pictures of that patch.. there was no way anybody could have pushed their way through it.. the stalks are an inch thick and 10 feet tall.. this particular patch is on top of where the old chicken yard once was.. lots of good nourishment for sure..

I didn't crush the whole patch.. I left the younger plants alone, but I did make a path through the middle of them..

anyhow, I sure had fun with (naked) Ollie..

the sun is out and you can actually feel the warmth from it.. the peacocks will be struttin' today.. and the 2 Toms.. yes, there is an upstart Tommy out there..

I took a quick head count this a.m.

3 roosters,66 chickens, 26 guineas, 13 geese,2 peacocks, 5 peahens, 2 Toms, 7 turkey hens
I don't think I missed any.. 124 total in aggragate.. and just 8 years ago, I started all over with 6 pullets "just for my own eggs".. yeah, right......... no wonder my feed bill is $5000,oo per year... I should get rid of all these birds and get a horse.. I think it would be cheaper..

I once heard that it was up to only God to interpret dreams..

but you , TerriO, are as near to Godliness as anybody I know, so I say , have at it..

Jim ~~ I love your stories ;-) Coming from someone with 7 horses...your chicken bill is mmmuuucchhhh better than our feed bill :-) Thank god we make our own hay!
I sorta started out with the "chickens just for us" theory as well. First we had 6, then a couple mis-happs :-( so down to 4.. now we are up to 8 :-) and come April 16 chicks are arriving

I am soo excited. At least I have a few months to "break the news" to my hubby who thinks that I have completely LOST MY MIND! LOL ~~ I think he secretly supports my though, after all, he is the one that bought me the coop for mothers day :-)
