Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I am all caught up with the snow removal/re-arranging ..

DD#1 said she was on her way here.. I looked a little for the grape vines.. too much snow to contend with.. I could go at the snow with Ollie, but I don't want to shear the vines off..

I will just put up the pen, and then transplant the vines next summer..

Now I have to go dig out at least one 2x6 for a ceiling joist on the pen.. I will need 7 of them to complete the roof..

be careful what you wish for.. seems to me everybody was complaining about mud last spring.. remember ??

Congrats!!!!!!!

DD#1 came and gave me a hand.. we got all 6 wall sections up and screwed together..

Next I will frame in the two doorways and then tackle the roof..

I will take some pictures tomorrow.. there was not enough sun for good pictures today..

we had a beotich of a time fitting those sections together.. some of them were up to 3/4 inch longer than others.. IDK how they can be so far off if they were using jigs to build them..

I am hungry and tired.. Annie is not back from town yet.. I do not know how far along the roast is or else I would go ahead and make the gravy..

I think I will sneak a nap in here until she gets home..\\

My first broody mama has her first 2 chicks! Super cute yellow balls of fluff with 5 eggs waiting to hatch. Hooray!

DH spent a couple of hours outside today plowing with the truck, then used the tractor to push some piles back and finished up by snow blowing some paths to the coops for me. Glad to have that done. After lunch we went to FF for feed and veggie seeds then off to the Wis. Deer Classic over at the Patriot Center. Fun to look at all the mounts, they had some really nice deer, elk and moose there.

Kids played outside and loved the huge snow piles. Now I've got chicken noodle soup simmering for supper.

Chicken update... NYE chicks are getting really big! Looks like I have a splash and a black orpington hen along with 2 blue and a black roo. These are from slackwater's eggs and are part English. I plan on keeping the hens and one roo, the others will look for a new home or be sent off to freezer camp when they are nice and big. The 2 white orpintons and the 2 SFH x W. Am cross chicks that just hatched are going to someone hubby works with. I actually have the incubator off right now and don't plan on turning it on until March 9th for the Easter hatch. I'll need the time to clean up the utility room downstairs, all that dust!!

Yeah! Babies! Way to go Big Fam! Eating enchilada casserole for supper....it is a little spicy and super hot! Burned my, tongue twice already. But Oh so good!

I will take a pic of the nesting boxes tomorrow Vickie--super simple! The fee will be for your DH to build me another one! LOL!

We are going to a party tonight. DD21's friend and one of my 4H kids accepted a job in Texas doing some thing with a horse trainer. I hope it all works well for her.

I GOT THE JOB!!! The woman called me just now and I am starting working already on Monday! I think I better get working on my house! Good thing she told me that she "wasnt much of a house keeper" I guess as long as I have a path all will be well! LOL.

Gotta head to the party! Have a good night everyone! TerriO
