That reminds me...... I am going to be a Grand Auntie again. My niece who has Adalyn (the one I babysit for) is going to have another one in October !!!!!

Good thing I already have two ponies. One for each of them !!!!

Looks like I found some chicks for ET's boss. Barred Rocks and Easter Eggers !!! I am going to yell at myself if I come home with any for myself.
I have to go to Wausau to a doctor appointment (actually Nurse Practitioner) tomorrow and then I'll shoot over on my way home and pick them up. Then I might.... I said might... swing over to Shawno to Tractor Supply and see their chicks. They have Production reds and some other sex links that came in today. But with getting 32 eggs yesterday and I have no idea what ET collected today I don't really need any more layers......at least until I find out what you all are bringing to the bash right ???

CC I saw your little Seabright hen peeking out of the greenhouse today !! So she is still here. I didn't want to jump (or hop) over the puddles to go in there so just looked at a distance.
I have no idea why my posts are showing up twice.....I'm not tipping the bottle like TO is ??? what gives???

I went to town to get some potato bins to give to ET's boss for the chicks. ET will go over and help set up the chick digs so I can just drop them off when I drive thru Elcho.
I dug out my air popper the other day and popped almost a whole feed bag full of popcorn for the pot belly pigs and all of the poultry and fowl. Came home today to find Porky almost inside of the bag...what a pig !!! LOL
Ok, so what's with Doc being MIA ??? Was there anything going on that I need to know about or missed ? If so someone can PM me if need be. We need him here !!! He is the life of the party.... sorry Heather !!!!

Doc's father passed recenty. His mom passed a few months back(?). Doc and his family were going to be going through his parents house, sorting and getting rid of things. He knew this was going to be a really tough time. So HUGS DOC if you pop on.

last summer we had a tree fall across our power drop and tore off a strip of siding.. the insurance did pay for it.. we had a deductible , though.. but we came out alright overall..

did you figure out what the bash is ? It is a picnic/camp out we have every year near Clintonville.. it lasts from Friday to Sunday..May 31 thru June 2... we swap chickens, plants , stories and lies..
fun for the whole family.. you can come for just a day, or stay for all three days.. there are two rooms full of bunk beds, or plenty of room to pitch a tent or park a camper..
Pot luck food, and lots of desserts ..

the older people sit around the fire pit and drink a beer or two before going to bed..

Speaking of reality checks, you people aren't really suprised that we have crap-ola weather this spring since last year we had spring in March, do ya? This is WI, after all.

And to think that Frenchie was giving me the business because I was worried that I'd freeze at the bash.

At the rate we're going, even she might be a tad chilled this year.

And NO, I do not need ducks. Not unless they are going to drink up all this rain. What I need is an ark right about now............ with a set of skis just in case.

Terri, I agree 100% on your advice to the school. Make em wait the 3 weeks. So are you coming on Friday too?

Fortunately we did not get the ice and snow they called for, just the rain. My back yard is a small lake. The ducks are in heaven. Even the broody hen gets off the nest to go swimming for a few minutes.
Sorry for everyone who is in the wake of that nasty stuff.I agree we might need to bring winter ware to the bash if this keeps up.

OMG that is so sad. {{{{{ HUGS DOC }}}}} I know how sad that is losing both parents in a short time plus having to go through the whole house. We still need to go through my Aunties house. that is not something anyone likes to do.
