The little black one has white wing tips!







There is only 1 little yellow chipmunk one.... but it sure is cute! I figured since I was only going to get mutts anyway I might as well make it a good mix.... looks like that's what I got!

I know I should have shavings in the box, but the other chickens dumped the straw on top of the shavings while she was brooding and I just left it. I think with mom in there they should be OK.

Beautiful Morning All! Cind cool chic pics! Yup I'm so fancy that I can't even talk to myself. Received a windfall from Mom & Dad. Was very surprised by the amount. Many repairs and improvements have already happened and many more coming. Going upstairs this morning to insulate the duct work for the new furnace and AC. So strange to have heat in every room. And we finally have gutters. All the things I had planned to do around here will now happen. Thank You M&D! I'm goin fishin !!!!!! Heading to Ks for oldest DD's graduation in about a week. Very Very proud of her! She'll sadly will be going back to Ga. wish they would move here. OK nuff about us. Commercials. Wanna play dodge rock?

TO hope your hauling the DS to work pays off quickly. ie; license, apt, etc. Going to get warm quick better get chores done then get my butt upstairs.

Cindy...love those little striped babies.
Kids have hatch going on in their classroom too. They got shipped eggs... if I had known they were not getting local eggs, I would have offered some. I figured the principal has a farm and that is where the chicks go when they are done, so figured she would give them eggs too. Oh well. So they have two incubators, a brinsea and an old glass one. The brinsea had 5 hatch yesterday of the 7 and the first one in the glass hatched today with another one cracking from what I can see. Anyone ever try giving a broody an older chick..like a 3/4 week old? I have this cute silkie that Heather gave me that hates other chicks for some reason... and broody silkie in my coop. Wondering if it would adopt the little one and make everyone happy. this is my silly silkie that likes to perch on the high perch...my other silkies wont go near perches...

otherwise just getting ready for my friends rummage in waunakee this weekend. And mothers day stuff. not too exciting. Just want a day for me soon! Maybe next week!

Does anyone raise or know anyone who raises the Shamos? I'm interested in getting a trio. Am I allowed to post what all I'm looking for? Or is there a specific board just for classified ads? I'd just rather keep it to here in WI as I'd rather drive out to pick them up vs have them shipped. Know what I mean? Cuz there's a wide variety of stuff I'm looking for and if I have to pay shipping from 4-5 different sources, it's gonna get a little pricey.

Welcome to the new folks....still time to make our annual bash the end of the month...check out the thread in my siggy....it's a great time, and a good one is being planned.

The new Buckeyes are really looking good. I'm kinda proud of my project so far. It has a way to go, but heading toward the SOP for sure!

Talked it over with Suzie Cind....she would love to share my tounge with someone that actually wanted it...LOL...I'll keep it froze til you are ready to head home Sunday...that way it will be good and frozen for the ride home....hope you enjoy it.

This whole post just about cracked me up BigZ! I second the motion on the bash! I replied to Erlibrd about that roo. I told her to tell me where she was headed and that maybe one of you "Northerners" headed to the bash could bring him too.? I am sure someone will take him home...or I will. *sigh*

1 Buckeye hatched at school today, so far. 6 to go....

I set them a day apart to stretch out the hatch for the kids to see hopefully the morning kids and afternoon kids can watch one hatch.

At least I know THAT roo is doing his job! (thanks Brent) And JJ you are such a GOOD school parent!
