Went for a horsy ride in the northern kettle today. Great day for it. Beautiful wooded areas there. Actually didn't come across anyone until we got back to the truck. Horses behaved too. Maybe they actually wanted to go. Came home and trimmed goat and horse hooves. Back hurts now. DH is talking about building a run and an indoor coop(in the pole barn) again. Told him that he has to now, he's mentioned it a couple times now. Quit talking and start building! More chickens come spring.

Very excited! I lost one of my favorites today too. My little blue chick from this years swap in fondy. She is the girls favorite too. 3rd one I've lost to the horse trough too. I don't understand why they try to drink out of there. I give them fresh water twice a day. Now I have to tell the girls when they get here tomorrow. I just hate this part of being a parent. DD3 will be crushed. She named her Erin and would put her in the wagon and pull her around. That little chick would just sit there. Oh well. What you going to do. Another Beautiful Morning Everyone! Bec so sorry to hear about the chick! That's going to be a tough one. I see it's supposed to be windy AGAIN! Have to pick beans to send with L this morning keep thinking this will be the last but they keep coming. Guess they will till the frost comes. Looks like I might have to bring a little wood in this week for the first fire of the year. It always happens at this time. The brooder box is sitting where I put the wood might have to figure out a new spot for it. Going to put a window in it and would like to elevate it so they can see outside. Hmmm

Well good morning and congratulations! Yeah another little "Cheesehead!" I have been working on a baby of my own here since 7 AM! One of my foster pups is not doing well. I am going to take him to the clinic as soon as the freeway traffic dies down a bit. He is looking better after fluids and corn syrup, electrolytes and ALERT!. At least he is sitting up now that he is getting warmer on the heating pad. Fosters are really fun but I sure hate when they get sick!

I am going to mapquest the DMV in Madison and see how complicated it is to get there...as long as I am going I guess I should get my car titled! Got some mats for it yesterday so I can wear my boots inside now...NOT! I really am going to try to keep it at least kinda clean.

Got the new car titled, the plates are on and insurance is in the mail! Now I can DRIVE IT! One thing that made me sad though...the plates have SGT on them and it reminds me of my dog Sarge...

Well--I guess not he will always be riding with me!

I dropped the pup off at the vet's office and I hope they call me with an update soon...he did not look too well by the time we got there although he had perked up a bit after the meds this morning.

I am off to run the loader and get the rest of the barn cleaned out. Supposed to rain tomorrow I guess and I want to do it before there is another major flood in there...really need to fix that situation! Later! Terri O

Oh man! I had so much to do today, the whole problem was that one of those was I needed to call an old friend for some info and well that was the only thing that got done so far. she talks WAY to much. I got the question in with in the first 5 mins then spent the next 3 hours trying to get off the phone.

now I gotta race around trying to get everything done!

I've been super-busy lately! My favorite little Cochin cockerel who wasn't doing so well is looking better the past few days!
