Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

TO and friends - Glad you guys made putting up hay a fun time! Way to make the best of a sweaty, itchy situation. Looks like you all had a nice time.

Amy- Great hatch!!

Sorry your sick Irish...and Judge I hope you feel better as well.

Delisha -If I use Nutrena chick starter which says it already has the good bacteria in it, all I would have to do is add water right? I started feeding my grown up birds the chick started too because I couldn't find a good all-flock around here yet, and I don't want my rooster eating layer feed.

Here are some pictures of Del's English O chicks I got at the swap. I told her I was getting a rooster and two hens and by golly I think I picked it just right. What do you think? The roo is so much more developed, size and feathing, than the other two chicks. Is that normal for these? They are playing in my garden and having a great time

This is BlueBell

This is a close of of Banger the Roo chick

Dust Baths for all three. The black chick is named Black-Pool. She has a lot of red leakage in her feathers.

Hey all you people who have or have had parakeets, I need some advice. My SIL has one that is around 8 or so. She said her bottom is all wet/damp and she just wants to huddle/sleep. She also said that there looks like a bump somewhere close to her vent. What do you think? Egg bound? What can be done for it/her? She has tried calling around to some vets but noone wants to see her. Any ideas?

Those baby ducks are pretty cute!
Bbp...I am officially jealous...the you pick strawberry place I normally go to around here just posted that they are closing down due to all the rain. They don't want people to destroy their fields. While I totally understand...I wanted to make jelly this year...boo.

That one with red leakage might be a project Orp. I will replace it with another black chick if you like. It looks like you are right. One roo and two pullets. Really nice lacing on those blues.

No ideas and sounds like egg binding. She can try an epsom salt warm bath, and inject olive oil and coconut oil in her vent after..massage her belly..thats about all I have for suggestions.

I am not that attached... Really pretty rooster! So, does the size difference (and feathering difference) in the chicks look ok to you for roos and hens. I got concerned because the girls are so far behind Banger.

Well 2 less Roos , by choice this time. Glad they're gone. While I detest coons, I hope they make a meal of those two.

Still waiting to see if any of the eggs I picked up yesterday hatch from Deli. And no CC, I have NO flipping PATIENCE!!! Please please please even let just 1 of the 4 hatch so she can be a momma! Today I was relieved to see Riga and the Ameracauna off the nests on their own to eat. Hooray!
