Oh my gosh guys, you are funny. The mud ducks aren't tourists, they are invaders that will drive 90 mph with atvs in the box of their truck and pulling a boat behind them. They will run you off the road. Don't try navigating hwy 8 on Friday evening or anytime Sunday.
We have lake Wapogasset here in Amery and I bet over 50 percent of the houses are actually cabins for people from the Twin Cities. The property taxes are astronomical! My father in law owned a tiny, run down house on a small lot and payed over $6,000 a year (10 yrs ago). Then he sold the house for over $300,000! It kind of sucks, because that whole township has high taxes, whether you live on the lake or not. I'm not real sure where all of the money goes.

Group photo of my 8, as you can see its like most family photos. Only a few are paying attention.

Final tally:
7/9 of my friend Connie's hatched. Sent hers home w/ her lastnight.
8/8 of mine hatched. Why I have all black coloring as the hens are different breeds. One bantam is out of my self-blue Cochin and other is questionable. I know 2 are out of my silver or gold laced wyondotte and 2 are from the black lav orphington pair. The other 2 are questionable also. 2 roos-black and buff orp bantam. I would of thought to get at least one chip mink colored. Either way it was a great experience for me and way better hatch rate than I ever expected as I opened and candled way more times than I ever should. Now I just have to get the Plexiglas front on the homemade so I don't have to keep opening it to peek.

Cind-yeah it was the "YOU" part in your comment that made me think it was directed at me. And I was really confused at that point as we had met and it seemed a bit out of character.

TO- no not a blond. LOL. I just read things literally as JJ mentioned. But all is cleared up. I see people getting angry with each other on here and I know most of it is based in miscommunication so I figured I'd try to clear the air before reacting;-)

I am really enjoying the view from my rocking chair this morning without a tree blocking my view.

OMG while I was trying to post a funny MY NEW DOG was laying next to me chewing on a bone...... then saw my computer plug moving.... She basically bit it in half... not sure if it is working.... gotta get out he electrical tape !!!! ARGHHHH !!!

Didn't get to bed till after 3m. Now have to go scrub instruments at the clinic.... I'm bushed !!!!! GD dog, I just paid $50 for that cord too !!!! No couldn't have been the old one that was laying there. She's lucky she didn't get electrified !!! Or beaten with a stick by me !!!! JUST KIdding again... She to yelled at though !!!!

You people are so silly!

Well, some bad news for me. My Tri partner can no longer to the Tri with me. Bummer. I am still going to do it though. Made myself do a 2.5 walk/run this morning. I should go biking this evening again........ and of course when I was heading out last night I discovered I no longer have a biking helmet and my headlight is missing on my bike.

CS, I have been searching for the reasons why cedar will change the color of the flame and of course I cannot find a scientific reason...... I suppose it has to do with the elemental metal composition that is naturally found in the wood itself. Whenever we have added it to a campfire, we only add a little bit and it has always been dried well. So you add like a chip or two at a time. Great Christmas gifts for people with fire pits or fireplaces!

Since I never did get my jam made yesterday, I need to get cracking on it today. In order to do that I need sugar. As least my laundry is finally finished!
