Well, Interesting evening. I went out to turn on the hose for the garden about midnight and heard a noise. Saw one of the cats and thought it was her. Went to turn on the hose again and heard it again, only louder. grabbed the flashlight and headed toward the coop. Heard it again and it sounded like flopping around. Then I saw one of the young pullets stuck in the fence!!! She managed to get her head and one wing trough the 4x2 hole! I had to cut her out! I was worried she broke that wing but she seems OK. Good thing I found her when I did, smelled the skunk about 1/2 hour later!

Also made a pouch (purse) for Young Son to hold his stuff while he works at the Ren. Fair. He loves that job! Says he gets to flirt with the girls and tease the men. His boss even has him representing the shop in the parade.

I got a deal Fri. I didn't mention. Went to Wally World (Wal-Mart) and they had hanging strawberry kits marked down to $1.00!! I got 5. Then DH went today and got the last 3. 10 plants in each kit so that's 80 plants! 10 cents a plant! (crowns) They're "Ozark Beauty" everbearing. I think I will start them now then winter them in the Jacuzzi room. Stays cool but not freezing in there. Then in spring I can make a bed outside for them.

All I can say about the conversation yesterday is wow....... and OUCH!

After a very dull day at work, we packed up the kids and drove over to the Amherst Fair to meet up with my BIL and SIL to watch the Demo derby. The kids were getting a little bit bored with the demo, it was taking quite a bit of time to get the cars in and out and get the pieces picked up in-between heats, so it was dragging on for a bit. The third to last heat we had some excitement; one of the cars took off out of the demo ring! I have no idea why they decided not to fill the entrance gap with a piece of cement blocking, but the opening was there and the guy driving the car went straight through, and down the track, and out the fairgrounds, and down a side road. He kept going until he buried the car in the brush along the road. Everyone in the stands was on their feet watching to make sure he was ok, suddenly we see a guy with a helmet doing the 400 m dash! Fire trucks drove out to the car and apparently there was no danger from the vehicle, so they sent one of the tractors down to collect the car. The driver came back to the demo pit, grabbed the checkered flag and took his bows to the cheers and applause of the crowd. Thankfully nobody was injured! The track is open to the pit crews so the driver could have hit someone who was not paying attention or he could have hit a vehicle driving on the road. Of course, after that little incident they decided perhaps they should block the opening of the derby pit. Ya think!

good morning,, and good snag on those strawberries,, If it were me, I would not put all of them onto the ground.. strawberry patches are very difficult to maintain.. keep a hanging basket or two . you might have to water them more, but that is much easier than fighting weeds.. If we did not have a strawberry farm right across the road, I would do strawberries again,, but this way is much easier..

Sandi, don't worry so much about frying your wires at the switch.. You have only one hot wire coming in..It should be a black one,, and heavier than the rest of them.. there might be another heavy black wire ,, that goes to the starter,,, and the rest go to various places after the switch is turned on.. Lights, radio, etc,,

If you have an Ohmeter, you can figure out what goes where without hooking up the wires first..

I barely was out of bed this morning when my bride decided to give me a tour of what has to be done to the house.. even before my cuppa !! I hate it when she wakes up early and has time to look around.. she already picked 7 quarts of berries.. At least I don't have to figure out what I will be doing for the week,, she has plenty of projects for me..

well, at least last night she hired my contractor nephew to do the heavy work.. I will prolly just assist/supervise.. (drink beer and watch) ..

I just had a call from a guy who bought 5 B O pullets last week.. Now he wants a rooster.. I think we have about 3 of them out there,, hope we can pick one out .. Annie wants to keep one.. It looks like instead of getting out of this chicken business, I am going into the B O business..I guess I will have to keep at least one bator plugged in next spring..

BTW soes anybody want to buy a headstrong, yet fertile barock rooster ? He has settled down a lot since we turned him loose..

Good Morning Jim, and everyone else for that matter.

Jim thanks for the electrical tip. I will ask ET again what colors we actually have on the boat. I asked him once earlier and now I don't remember. He is crabby this morning and told me he wasn't going to put up the pool.... He'll show me !!!!

He fell asleep in the recliner last night.... never came to bed but that means he didn't wear his CPAP !!! I hate when he does that.... Then we all suffer around here the next day.....

Yes good deal on the strawberries Cind. I had a dream last night and You were in it. I was helping you get medical insurance !!! LOL That's all I remember though... And yes Heather it was a clean dream !!

Nice a cool here today. Actually got chilled last night but upon looking at the thermometer it was 70 in the house !!!! Wow, weird to feel chilled at 70 !

Wow, I could go right back to sleep with this weather... Way to nice..... Good sleeping weather.

Just saw on FB that my PG nieces AC went out when it was 94 in Kenosha the other day.... luckily for everyone involved it came back on shortly !!!! LOL You poor poor PG people. Pregos in Summer is not fun !! Guess that's why the good lord put the burden on Women hey ?? They can take the heat !!! lol

Here are the colors that we have on our boat.

1 RED wire

1 BLACK wire

1 BLACK wire with WHITE tracer

2 PURPLE wires with WHITE tracers

1 YELLOW wire with RED tracer

I'm sure we have an Ohm meter but god only knows where it is !!!

This is a 3 position push to choke switch... fyi.
