Hi bobby! Welcome :) what breed(s) do you have?

Hi, verybody. I just cought up. Ive been very sick. I was even unable to go to the 4'h kids shoe sat :'( :'( :'( :'(
Ive only e ver been this sick one other time. I'm feeling a lot better. Still a little weak and out of sorts. But finally able to keep some stuff down.

Hubby is up north agan. At least I'm only on 8 hours this week. I might have died otherwise. Haha
It is hard just to keep up with chores and 8 hours. Next week I already have a girl pushinflg me to take her 12's. Well see how it goes. I could use the xtra $ to get to terri's next week!!

Lmk when you make plans. These babies have outgrown their pen!! Scott is itching to get them out!! They ear two pails a day!! Getting very big!!

Lucky the new pup is mild mannered. Hes been left to his own quite a bit while I've been so sick. He hasnt destroyed a thing. Nock on wood... very minimal accidents. Only when ive been busy in the bathroom or passed out.

I wish this upon nobody.

And terri, not sure about scott making it. I have vaca. But do not know his schedule yet. But ill do my best to throw the bales again!!

As far as the spelling thing, I know I'm a culprit. I'm on a tiny smart phone! If you don't like it, buy me a computer/intranet or skip my post lololololol

Chickens seem to be happy with the decline in temp. I know I am!! When I was sick, hubby put his roo back in with everybody. I was not too happy to see that. I will see how it goes.

Slow at work this week, so I'm able to take some time to catch up on the posts. Well our 150 (now 147) meat chicks are a week old. They're really hogging down the FF which is good to see. We put a couple of little roosts in the brooder (about 6" off the floor), this along with spacing the feed and water keeps them active. I think that is why our loss rate wasn't too bad last year, or beginners luck.

now that would be a real contemplative interview

FrenchToast: I always enjoy your posts, but this reminds me too much of when we've had boats. Hubby always wanted his own boat, but when it is only used once a year . . . let's just say it does not make for a relaxing vacation. We've had the used, the new, and the new with used motor - long story short, sold the boats and will consider one next year when we are BOTH retired and will actually use it more than one week out of the year. The double deposit happened to me.

When in college, I stopped at my bank and cashed my paycheck. The teller sent me out the cash for the entire check and deposited the entire amount in my checking account as well. I tried to tell her what she had done, and she argued with me, the snot nosed teenager. So I let her swing. I made sure their dollars were never out of my account and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally the bank calls me 3 months later and is all upset with me for having the money. I hung up and drove down there to discuss it in person.
They told me I should be sorry for the teller that was let go because of my actions. I explained that I tried to get it fixed the day it happened and could not make her understand, so banking was not her calling and I only helped her along the path to her true avocation. It turns out that they just wanted the money and they thought yelling at me was the best way to get it. I gave it to them only after I had my say about how they were wrong about that too.

JustJohn: I can't believe the bank waited 3 months and then had the audacity to come down on you. What has happened to "customer service"??? A few years ago we had ordered fish from JDock in Alaska, after a couple of months of not seeing the money come out of my bank account I called. The owner came on the line profusely appologizing and gave me his cell number to call anytime I needed to order. Now that is customer service.
I was never cleaning anything up for kiddos. I do that at home. :-D Halden is doing well. He got his tracking device on his wrist now. something interesting to be sure. BUt while at work, I hate typing much. it just squishes everything together. and no... i don't want to clean up my pervy humor... no way no how... you know I could actually be worse!!! I'm keeping myself middle of the row here LOLOLOLOLOL!
Bigfam4me: Your pervy humor is one of the many things I enjoy about this bunch of cheeseheads

TerriO: I'm with you on last night's sunset and sky. Wow those were some awsome cloud formations and the light show was something else, not to mention how great it was to get some rain and not have to water the gardens.

OK I have to ask, Did I miss something or Bigz are you referring to ..... clearing my throat .......the corn row topic ????

aww..glad you are getting better. Don't take the 12's till you are recovered. Or you will be sick again. Your body is telling you to take it easy.

Good morning! What a drop dead gorgeous day! (and here I sit!) LOL! I have to get my "chicken talk" before I do anything or go anywhere...well, I guess I have done some things today already...but not the coffee is ready!
Cuties! You were sick? So glad you are on the mend! I just hate being sick! Thank Goodness it doesnt happen often. Sounds like you are unused to it also...
WHoot! Application and resume sent! Something to look forward to!

It would be a great job to have.

CC, sending you a PM!

Did 8 miles on the new bike tonight, even with padded shorts my bum HURTS!

Time for bed.
Go Mel! GO!!!! They will be lucky to have you. Just wait until we go riding (the right kind) then you will find that your bum hurts as well as the rest of the muscles that you thought you used all the time! A whole new set to get in shape.
OK I have to ask, Did I miss something or Bigz are you referring to ..... clearing my throat .......the corn row topic ????

ME TOO!

Welcome Bobi! As was mentioned you can learn many things here...some you might not want to know about; but I guess that too is learning isnt it? LOL! Yes, what kind of birds do you have? Babies, laying? Penned or free? Are you in town or out? See...we need to learn too! (even if some of us claim to know everything...as Jim says, "you know who you are."

Ditto on that sentiment Vicky--my body seems to be telling me to take it easy EVERY day! And I havent been sick--so I want to know what's up? This has got to stop right now...so I guess I should get off the computer and put something in the CP for supper--that always seems to get me going!
Have a great day everyone! Kids' Garden tonight...we are having them bring all the grass trimmings over and they can spread them in the rows for mulch.

Good morning all!
So happy to get some rain last night, but DH was pretty Peed off since we have hay laying. They were filling the bunker when it started raining.
DS9 isn't much better as far as the blistering and the redness. The pain is less though. It is so hard because he has terrible sensitive skin and eczema, so it is hard to find products to use on him. Someone told me coconut oil.. Anyone know if olive oil would work?
My mom and sister are coming over to help in the garden today. Apparently my mom thinks the garden is too full of weeds (which it is NOT!) Oh well- with all the pain I have been having lately the extra help will be nice.
I got my first duck eggs this week. Very exciting, don't know which of the breeds layed it. Big and beige is how I would describe it...
Need to butcher the extra roosters. With having 4 roos here now the chickens backs are really suffering. The only good thing is that they are friendly. One of our milkers want to buy one. How much would you charge for a rooster?
Have a good day all!
