We had about 30 sec. of drops yesterday and that's all in weeks.

I am glad we received an inch. It was needed. The garden is grateful and so are my poor sparse flowers.

Good Morning all. Looks like another day like yesterday. We had to close the window above the bed last night it got so cool. We both had to get up and Pee at the same time but didn't want to get out of bed.... then closed the window !!!

Speaking of watering...... what kind of sprinkler do you all use on your big gardens ???? I get totally soaked every time I try to water with one of those sprinklers that you stick in the ground that has those little stoppers on it that you set where you want it to stop pulsating.
Yep that's what it's called a pulse sprinkler... I think.

RBC... the pontoon boat is my toy.... my Dad always had one (always real old or ho-made) BUT I'm not the one who lost the key. We (I) finally decided to just keep it at the family cottage on the lake instead of moving it all the time. With our inexperience with boats, trailers it is best..... last year the trailer that ET and his friend revamped from my Dads trailer (cause it was to wide for our boat) blew the tires because the boat shifted and the tires rubbed on the pontoons !!! Which reminds me.... I never did tell you all the story about our first trip out on it when the family was up !!!! Need to get it straight in my head so you all get the real picture !!

Two more keets died last night and two more don't look so good. Seems like they are smaller (younger) and are lavenders. So now I'm down to 11 and maybe 9 by later today. It's plenty warm in the tub ???

Cuties..... glad you are on the mend... yes do listen to your body.... Money isn't everything.... but Yeah I know it sure does help !!

BL4...... Good luck swimming across the lake..... I would definitely freak out if something touched my leg(s) when I was in the middle. H3ll I went out to deeper water at the lake and tried to stand and when my foot didn't touch the bottom and must have hit some weeds I just about walked (hopped ) on water !!!! Yes, can't wait til my pool is up.... should be by fall !!!

R Berry, I have worked as an LTE at UW-Fox since 2007 and since it is so difficult to get the state to create a new position I have had to look elsewhere for employment. I would MUCH rather stay at Fox, but they cannot offer me anything other than the LTE job.

TO, yeah yeah I KNOW what is going to hurt when we go riding!

Driving down to the Southern part of the state next weekend. The Dh and I are going to have an Adult date night with my cousin and her hubby and some of her friends. Going to Ravinia to see Heart! It will be so cool for the DH since we are going to take the train; he has never been on a train other than the kiddie ride ones like at Bay Beach and the Zoo. I need an escape to look forward to after all this garbage at work.

Frenchie, I use that kind of sprinkler. When you need to adjust, kink the hose, stand back, release, and watch for a mi to see if it needs more adjusting. Last year hubby got me one of those soakers for my bday. I liked it, but it shot all over!! Every time I had to move it I got soaked!! We also haave this brass butterfly doohiggy. It flings all over. Got it cheeeep at a rummage a couple years ago. That was nice last year in the big garden.
I think I might deny the ot next week. I am on a lot of vaca next month. Ive been saving it for when syd is off summer school. We plan to do many fun things. I do not want to be sick or tired for that. I love the time I get with them ♡

Frenchie, I am also sorry about your baby keets :'( our turkeys are under a chicken and a turkey. There was toooo many eggs! Scott said while I was sick, they had a big fight about who got what babies :-( a couple died in the process. I put them in lockdown sun. We will see if they can work it out. I let out the chicken today. Turkey tomorrow. .. if they keep it up, ill take them all away!!

And that reminds me, someone asked about buckets. 5 gal plastic. And when their too little, 30 gal plastic drums. Very simple. He gets taps and tubing at fleet theres a temperature recipe for cooking. But he NEVER lets me touch it lol I burn water teehee

Bobi: Welcome to the insanity!!! I am north of you in Amery.

FT: Are you on well water? It seems that is where our issues are coming from. So what we have learned so far,-if you are on well water you will probably have issues with metals in the water and need to buy metal remover; you have to monitor the salt level/chlorine, and we have had really high PH so have had to use a pH down also. Then you have to keep stablizer in the pool or else you lose all the chlorine really fast. Also think we discovered another issue thats been causing some of our problems,....the pool instructions stated for this size pool to run the salt water filter 4 hours and reg filter 6 hrs per day. Since this pool holds 7500 gallons of water, stopped and talked to someone at pool place and they said it needs to run most of the day. Got up this morning and its finally looking like we are headed int he right direction! Two weeks until Meghanns having her bday party here and need the pool fixed by then...the hottest weeks of the summer and we couldnt use it LOL

Yep, we have well water. I was thinking of calling the fire depart and having them come fill the pool, it they do that up here. Will save on the well and pump.
You must have the 18'x48" or 52" ??? Ours is the 16'x48", holds a bit over 5000 gallons. How long did it take for you to fill the pool? With that much water, sure hope for a hot day to warm it up.

Where do you get the pool chemicals? Or should I say, where is cheapest? Will probably stock up when they go on clearance.

I have a well. My pool is tiny. One of those with the blow up ring. But hubby puts in chlorine, and runs a small pump. Covers with a tarp, and no issues

erin, I wish I would have caught your post before you left. That is the Tractor Supply by me. We could have met up. Is that the one closest to you? That's a hike.

Yeah it was a decent drive, 40 minutes. I was excited to see chickens free ranging in a yard on the way there lol. Picked up flea powder, the d.e., a flock block, some other random stuff.. Then enjoyed some DQ on the way home. . Will have to plan ahead for the next trip hehe!

It sounds like you arent getting the eggs.  Fleas are terrible to get rid of! I am thinking that they are picking them up in bedding or do they have an outdoor kennel?  Also, some of those things you need to do 3x to get them all and then the ones that are hatching too.  I havent heard of them going back on after Frontline though...if the infestation is so bad I doubt that DE is going to help. (if that's what you are using it for)

They are indoors. I bathed them, put on powder, mom vacuumed then sprinkled d.e. around while I did that. Today we vacuumed again, I pulled out couches, cabinets, cushions, vac'd super thoroughly. A few live fleas in the vac canister. Dogs will be in their crates on the deck while we fog the house. A friend recommended some essential oil/water combos, so will probably stop at GNC and see if they have some.

This flea business is getting pricey, especially considering it isn't MY house or dogs!! My sister has an awesome sister....
