TO... She's still gone, strangely the eggs are still there. Didn't bother trying to hatch them. They were cold for at least a day when I found them and the odds they were fertile was slim. Only saw any "contact" once and not sure with what hen. Other wise the girls get back massages. I think I need to get some "Turkey Porn" for them! You wold think with watching the chickens at least they would do it in the right direction!

I had to laugh at the duck picture. Cute.
Stray cat #2 showed up last night. Looks about the same age as the first. VERY friendly. He's missing a little hair at the base of his tail. My first thoughts are mange or fleas. I put some Advantage II on him. I guess since I can actually pick him up he will be going to get neutered first. He does have some green goop in his eyes. I really hope this isn't another stay with feline leukemia. I had one last year and the year before with it. Had them both put down.

FT- sent a contact to your CL lead about Aussie chicks but they never responded. Just as well after I found out how far Rudolph was. Besides, I would much rather get birds from Terri if possible.

Guess my veggie farmer guy was right. Saw a piece yesterday on channel 7 out of Wausau about the failure of the sweetcorn crop.

JIM - (or whomever) which is better, scratch mix or straight cracked corn? Thinking I better stock up on one or the other for winter before the price shoots up.
BTW - I picked up a bag of scratch from the Rhinelander Wal-Mart last spring and what garbage!

Now I better go let the girls out now that the temp is above 40o

All the chickies are doing good with their broody moms. Will share pics later. Sold a few hens and chicks this week. Hope to sell more before winter comes.
