Vicki, Rosemary & Thyme? Giblet is cute! I sure hope your pup is feeling better real soon. Poor baby.

cuties, my chicks used to snuggle up to one of my rabbits at naptime. It was the cutest thing seeing her surrounded by all those lil fuzzbutts!

DrH, I'm hurt.

Cute chicks, Colton! Rarest of the rare mix, was it? I agree with Del that they are a bit too small to be able to tell the breeds yet.

Bl4, good point on the freezer/power going out. In that case, canning is definitely the way to go. I can't say I've ever tried canning meat before, though. So when you coming down? This weekend? That mushroom stand sounds awesome! Where about is it?

Nothing new here. Chicks/chickens are all good. DHs relatives from ID have been here all week so we've been busy with them. Sweet dreams, all!

French, I had a tonsillectomy, nasal passage reduction and my uvula removed along with the back upper palate reduced. All this for upper airway resistance syndrome and apnea.
I can't wait to heal but I can honestly say even with the swelling I can already breath thru my nose which I couldn't before. Other than the major pain, when I swallow the liquid goes up and out my nose and I really hope this isn't permanent. Can you imagine what liquid Vicodin feels like with open wounds?! Anyhow im doing much better after I fought over a straw and won, as I can swallow much better with it and not so much goes up my nasal. They don't offer much, but I did convince them to let me eat poor mans cereal, ate as breakfast most morning at grandmas growing up. Milk over saltine crackers and sprinkle with sugar. Actually having a bowl right now. Sometimes we tore up bread and ate the same way.

SClark, Holy Cow, no wonder I didn't remember what you were having done.... Sounds painful !!! But it sounds like if you are breathing better now already that it can only get get better. Hope you make a speeding recovery. CC, I'm not going to Wausau until Monday for the heart cath, then again on Friday for another pulm function test and Chest CT scan. TO I can see you jumping the fence !!!! See all that hard work on your farm made that possible.... I'd probably get caught up in the fence !!! LOL Hey Heather, Here's the deal.... How about you buy my hay and I'll stack it..... I mean really, if you buy why should I expect you to help load it ?? Geez TO...... LOL Wait till I get Joe to build me a pole barn though ok...... Who's gonna buy that though ????? Any volunteers ???

Me again.

FT.... Yes, I wash the feathers.

Here (I hope) is a map for the River Valley Ranch and Kitchens (Mushroom Farm) and Best Bargains (where DH works) The Mushroom place is the "star" and Best Bargains is "1" Sorry I couldn't get a pap to print here.

Best Bargains is a restaurant supply that has a retail outlet. Might be worth stopping in. It's only 3 miles away from the Mushroom place and on the same road. Let me know when you all are going to the mushroom place.... I might even get up to meet you! LOL Anyone who was going to send me feathers could bring them.

Did I mention a turkey hen is broody again? She's in an unweeded part of the garden. About a dozen eggs. I think she should be safe there. It's fenced in and under a tree. Only a little path into the garden and a predator would probably be frustrated looking for it.

Night All!

Has anyone gone to the small animal.swap in Fall Creek?

I think I may take some chicks there to sell. I forgot to check under the broodies before I left home, their getting pretty close. Maybe ill come home to new babies.

Also forgot we are taking rabbits to the swap. Son bought what was suppose to be 2 fixed males and bought a Netherland Dwarf Buck and a full-size Satin Doe who have 4, 2 1/2 mo old babies two males are dwarf pattern, one grey & one black; pure black male and a grey and white female, ; also 1 miniature satin female and 1 miniature satin buck(dad to female). I have all parents on site. Im sorry if none of that makes sense, please ask if you have a question. Oh and asking $10 EA. If you buy 2 or more $5 each for babies, buck $10and no matter what. Babies are quite tame as kids work with them alot.
