My best candidate for blrw hen. I do not like the slightly gold coloring in the neck :-( but we will see. She has decent type.

Cuties: nice photos thanks for sharing.
Colton: I wonder what breeds your chickies are, cute.
TerriO: what breeds of chicks do you have?

I have to stop using my Droid to take pics and pull out my Nikon D90 as I want to get close ups of the chicks. I seen day before yesterday I have a Bo bantam x ss- going to work in a jubilee orp bantam, how common are they?

Delisha: how long is quaranteen? I read 3 else and then 6 weeks just want to know which one is correct. I also have been feeding fermented feed since reading about it here and started them on that right away and I also have vitamins and electrolyte powder in my scratch grains I also give. The ss roo had a nearly white comb before I got home with him Sunday and wed am its now back to the bright red it should be.

Im also looking for a few more blrw hens, how many is a good brood? I currently have 3.

Hello from Minnesota. I was wondering if anyone could give me any ideas on how big the Beaver Dam swap is? Are there alot of OEGBs (mostly looking for Mille Fleur old english) or any Seramas or Pincheons? It's close to an 8 hour drive, is it worth it and is there anything else interesting in the area if I would make a weekend of it? I'm thinking by the middle of October it will be too cold to camp, are there any cheap hotels in the area? Would you please PM me any info you have? Thanks a bunch!

good morning, I am waiting for a lady from Matoon to come for the last of the old hens.. I hope she is not a no show..

Sandi, I do not know anybody who came back from St Claires .. I know a few who went there, , ,

I had my work done at Aspirus, but I see my Dr at the clinic..

I would check in the rooms near me ,, see if there are goats, horses or cows in them,, there is no reason for them to have to try that many times to hit the right spot for an IV ..

Dd#2 JUST CALLED TO GO TO BREAKFAST WITH her and DD#1.. I cannot leave because I am waiting for this lady to show up. sooo I will just keep drinking my yesterday's reheated cuppa .. yuck.. (caps key stuck)

One of these days I am going to not fix any of my typos ,, then you will see what a lousy typist I am..

more crs ,, bbl

That's exactly what I was thinking Jim and took s total of 4 dif nurses. Pretty pathetic, I've had surgery here many times at St Joe's in Chippewa falls and this has to be by far the worst service ever. Dr still hasn't been here and they said 8am. Lies!

Good morning--felt good to sleep in my own bed! LOL! Car is fixed!

I really like having a "somewhat" capable DH! When he puts his mind to it he can usually fix anything...I guess the mind must be the problem sometimes!

It was a $40 part(from the Stealership) that had the retaining ring worn out--it let the shifter thingy pop out of the little socket it rolls around in. The part was only $21 on line and of course it is PLASTIC!
Me again.

FT.... Yes, I wash the feathers. Good thing!

Here (I hope) is a map for the River Valley Ranch and Kitchens (Mushroom Farm) and Best Bargains (where DH works) The Mushroom place is the "star" and Best Bargains is "1" Sorry I couldn't get a pap to print here. Sure wish it was closer! And I would have liked to see the "pap" too!

Best Bargains is a restaurant supply that has a retail outlet. Might be worth stopping in. It's only 3 miles away from the Mushroom place and on the same road. Let me know when you all are going to the mushroom place.... I might even get up to meet you! LOL Anyone who was going to send me feathers could bring them.

Did I mention a turkey hen is broody again? She's in an unweeded part of the garden. About a dozen eggs. I think she should be safe there. It's fenced in and under a tree. Only a little path into the garden and a predator would probably be frustrated looking for it.

Night All!
Good luck to your turkey!
I wanna come to chicken canning class too! Sounds messy and educational.
Definitely the messy part is true! It really does look kinda gross to see a whole chicken in a bottle...I hate when folks enter that and venison cubes at the fair...

Good morning! Lots of good adventures to read :-) I enjoy!

Here is a pic of he chicks and the little bunny is their favorite. The big one was only inside for a few days. She had a small cut on her leg I wanted to keep surgical solution on.

I love all the adventures too! Adorable chicks and buns! In the one of the kids feeding the birds Blake looks like he is about to fire a missile at one of their heads! LOL!

Long drive for that swap for sure! I wonder if they dont have them in MN?

Gotta go and deliver quail eggs...I am getting robbed on them but at least they are getting sold! Even had a dream about selling them last night!
