Took the whole family tubing today on the Wolf River....... what an adventure. Not the relaxing afternoon I had thought it would be. We all had a good time anyway.

The Waupaca county fair starts tomorrow....... yay! Now I can enjoy carnies and drunks walking by at all hours.....

Sclark I hope you figured out your edema issues! I was trying to look this stuff up for you today but with soany variables it is difficult to pinpoint a cause.... the protein deficit is plausible but suspect.....

Frenchie glad you are ok. You should have told the tech to give you a Brazilian while they were prettying you up!

Made pan fried tilapia tonight, with fresh corn on the cob, rice, and sauteed zucchini onions and some of those beautiful portabella mushrooms I picked up yesterday. Time for some wine for me and a few New Glarus beers for the DH!

Thanks for your concern baby. If it is as bad in the am I think I will try going to Rice Lake urgent care this time and see what they have to say. Ladysmith and Eau Claire have been a dead end. I have tried ice packs, my softball socks, and elevation and it hasn't went down. It's now starting to hurt to the touch. I am quite annoyed as other than me calling the office after surgery, no one has called for a follow-up appt or even a call to see how I'm doing.

As far as the throat swelling, I've been using ice packs and found that I had a bottle of lidocane that my daughter has been putting on it a few times a day when the pain gets unbearable.

My daughter moved back home today. She made it almost a week on her own and decided it would be best for her mental status to come back home and finish out school this way. She's a good kid, has always had a job and started her 2nd year of college yesterday. She's just not ready for the big world all by herself. She says the biggest thing is she's used to getting up at 5 and doing farm chores and such, besides there's always something to do around here. Her room mates don't get up til about noon and stay up past midnight which messes with her normal schedule. She has no interest in what most colleges kids do. I swear she's 40 going on 19. Besides I'm glad she's home for my own selfish reasons, this past week has been crazy without her here and me stuck with the boys.

Final tally on the last 2 broodies. Eda hatched out one, accidentally smashed one egg and had 7 left. I give those 7 to Faye and she hatched all but one that she had pushed out of the nest 3 times since last night so I thought it was a bad egg. I cracked it open today to find out that it was just a few days behind the others and I killed the poor thing. I split the 7 up, Faye has 4 and Eda has 3.
 
SClark, What reason did they give for you not taking aspirin ? I can see not before and the day of an a few days after surgery but just like my DH who is on warfarin he starts back up within a day or two after procedures etc. Although he hasn't had surgery to speak of. I agree, I would call the doctor who handles your lupus. What would be the worst thing if you took a baby aspirin? I still don't buy the low protein thing, unless of course you are a vegan or something !

I went outside and sat next to the swimming pool. It is leaking water by one of the attachments which happens to be where the chair was.... needless to say the back feet of the chair sunk into the ground and I fell backwards. Got all wet and was royally Ticked !!! I'm not wearing my fake leg cause the hole in my groin (not that one) from the heart cath would get to much pressure on it. So I couldn't get out of the chair as it was falling backwards !!! Would have been funny had I not been in a bad mood to begin with !!

I'm not in the best of moods today ! Don't if it's the weather HOT, the news, ET or what but I could give a Flying F about anything !!! Oh well, tomorrow is another day. I think I'm just Tissed because everything I get can't be fixed !!! It's getting pretty frickin old !! Plus the fact that I'm turning the big 55 on Saturday...... Where did all my youth go!!! I wish I was 27 again. That was a good time in my life. Then I realized I am twice that age !!! OMG !!

The pool sure looks refreshing though !!

Haven't commented on pictures because for som reason all I'm seeing are X's, no pictures. I'm still having major puter issues.
Better quit while I'm ahead before I find something else to Ditch about !!!

My ent nurse said I couldn't have my ibuphrophen or aspirin because it could cause blood clots and swelling. Well I haven't been taking it and it's causing swelling so their explanation is backwards to me. Any other surgeries I've had they did stop prior and continued after the surgery.


Jim, this may be a dumb ?, but why do you call it a tv? Because you sit and watch them so much?
