But sad we had decided to get rid of our 6 RIR cause we just don't have it in us like John and some of you to do the deed. Clinton is too far a drive to pay someone $5.00 apiece. Like I said they got IB their ovaries are messed up but the meat should be good. Can not eat runny whites and flat yolks... Fried one this afternoon to make sure and the whit actually came up into the center of the yolk

Also if anyone has some replacement RIR in this area we'd be interested I am going to check on that Evansville lead too for some Delawares.There is a swap up Nort... but that is how we got the IB and I am never ever doing that again

I see all this about meal worms and I can understand why you would raise your own. I saw them at FF and they wanted $9.00 for a bag well I suppose you are supposed to feed Bluebirds and not pigs errr chickens... Sometimes I think my chicks are more pig than anything

Glad also that everyone seems to be on the mend. I was worried I had brought your group bad luck...
Also Kristi summer squash and Zukes are interchangeable
As for the sweet corn I saw somewhere that if you use a metal Bundt pan you can slide the corn down the center and the corn goes in the pan... I tray freeze mine and then break it up and put it large bags, just don't like those blocks, call me weird... Well I gotta go bag some of my green beans and freeze some broccoli
Happy Friday I'm going for a nice cold "Supper Club" beer to freeze veggies by...

I don't see why blanching whole cobs would be any different .. all you are doing is killing the ability of the food to continue aging/growing/maturing.. IDK exactly what it is called,, ask Mel .. she can spell it out for you..

gonna try the bundt thing to see. I have a line on a bird processer between brodhead and brooklyn if it would help. or there is always selling them at the monroe swap for 3 a piece on the 3rd Sat of any month.

Have you tried that weird icon that looks like 3 lines on the top right of the window? It is your settings button. Or if you right click on this page click then click on "View Page Info" the Permissions - Images should be allow by default... Not sure if it will work but sounds like it might
