Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Hey everyone!

That's my flu face, cause that's what we've been dealing with ALL week. The baby had it on Sunday, I caught the starts of it on Monday, and Tuesday DH ended up getting it. We had to take the baby to the sitter to watch over night, because both me and hubby had a hard time staying out of the bathrooms! Luckily we have an amazing sitter like her

So we spent Tuesday night throwing up and trying to drink some water. Talk about couple bonding! Sheesh! DH had it a LOT worse, I almost wanted to take him to urgent care because he couldn't keep down fluids! However he ended up taking one of my anti-puke pills (that they gave me for my pregnancy) and he was able to keep some fluid down and get through the night without throwing up. DH had TERRIBLE stomach cramping with it too, I felt so bad for him.

Today we feel weak, tired, our backs hurt but we feel so much better. Able to eat a bit and drink fluids. The baby got over it right away, 24 hour thing, same with DH. Me? I'm clinging to it for some reason. Ugh. It will honestly be a miracle if I gain weight during this pregnancy

Well I'm done with classes (as far as on campus) but I start my clinical rotation tomorrow. I am suuuper nervous!! I start with Phlebotomy, and although I am very good at it, I haven't done it in 3 semesters! Not to mention, I only did 5 or so sticks, and that was on people who KNEW I didn't know what I was doing!! Now I have to walk in all confident and draw. I'm so scared!

I know venipuncture isn't really that bad, I just get really nervous doing it. Not to mention I have to drive to flippin' Sheboygen which is 80 miles one way...Wish me luck guys! I sure need it! I'm clearly having a mental breakdown during pregnancy!

Catch'all later!

hi all, quick Q, Ducks! Is this normal?, I have 4 ducks all 'scovies, 3 girls 1 boy, the boy has now picked his 2 favorite girls and has shund the other girl? if she comes near them he chases her off? what can a drake only handle 2 girls?
and how in creation do I get those dumbies to come out of the water at night? the drake and at least 1 girl stay in there all night and then I have 1 or 2 girls sleeping wherever all night. pretty soon when we're standing there waiting for the bus, i'm gonna look over and see my ducks frozen in the ditch?!

Thanks, my brain is to tired to think about addessing any thing!

Hey all...dealing with a bunch of crap here...dogs got into the rat poison..cat strangled himself in my back room...other cat had to go to the vet and somebody is puking behind the chair every night! Why, oh why do I even have any animals? The chickens have finally found the garden and are starting to "till" it up. The fence has been down for a while! Well, trying to get my furniture moved around...hope everyone is doing OK....Terri O

The duck Q your drake can handle 4+ girls, he's being a poop. But if your worried I have a spare drake or rehome the extra hen. Your drake will prolly not take to that girl, he doesn't like her.

Evening to All... that's funny fm, thanks for sharing it!
I don't raise ducks or geese, but sure learned alot about them on here. Suzies grandma always had a flock of ducks and geese. She would bury a kiddy pool in the ground for the ducks. The geese always loved to chase suzie back to the porch...good memories for sure.
The new issue of Backyard Poultry is here. Quite a beautiful pic of a White Chinese Goose with a huge red ribbon with gold trim around his neck, standing in the snow...makes Chritmas feel close by for sure. Another great issue.
Good to hear that you guys are great sitters in pursue of the whitetail. I just love the moment I enter the woods. Just need to be there for awhile, it seems like no other therapy in the world. Simply priceless with the simplicity of just getting away from it all... only to return to the woods as soon as I can again! Getting closer to the opener now. Time for all the last minute details, so nothing is forgot.
I ordered another waterer and feeder from premier one. They called and said they are sold out til Jan....I told them no problem...ship them when you can. The feeder is nice for less spillage, and the waterer is super easy to clean and functions perfect. Being 5 liters they last a few days. Prolly will pull it from the coop before it gets to cold and freezes, or use the cearamic tile on the metal heater. Decisions, decisions....oh my!
I see the guy in waupaca was found guilty of hitting and killing that young man. He was the same guy that abused the deer with a snowmobile....maybe a little justice finally.

Stay safe.... ~ bigzio

Anyone from the City of Neenah? I need a family that would be ok with a reporter coming out to take photos for a potential front page shot! They are specifically looking for Neenah.

Please contact me ASAP, time is of the essence as they to press soon.

evening all hows it goin! terry o what a bummer it sounds like you are having a terrible time with your cats and dogs hope it ends soon for you.
bigz you are right about spending time in the woods theres nothing like it! when friends ask me about church i always tell them i worship from my tree stand because there is no place that brings me that kind of peace.
took my little buddy Mally out to scope out spots for opening day with me this morning and we had a blast . its never too young to start teaching the young ones about the outdoors she was so excited being out there i had to laugh my butt off and it was a trip worth while too i havent been there in 2 years and the tree i always sat in had died so we spent some time wondering in search of a new one.

well i am done for so you all have a good one

morning everyone-although it is still super dark outside! Well DH is heading out this am with a friend of ours to head up close to Ashland for opening weekend, we'll see what he comes back with! With him leaving we will probably see the deer in our backyard

DD who turns 11 on Sunday will be having 3 friends over for a sleepover tonight and into Sat. am so that should be fun! Probably find something else to do as well...... told the kids there is always chicken chores! Probably will try and move our 3 Ameraucana girls down into the girl pen since their quaratine is up and then go through a dust all to help keep the bugs away.

We are at day 4 with the test eggs and will probably wait till DH come back Sunday before checking,

Have an Irish foster in now as well, you can tell he is a guys dog... this should be interesting to see how he does.

Have a good friday everyone, have to get the kids moving for school!
