Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Oh no! How horrible, Vicki. I am so sorry to hear that. I hope they will make a full recovery for you.
I know I don't have to tell you, but try the extra vitamins in the water & some yogurt to go along with the molasses. Fingers crossed!

Fingers and toes crossed, Vicki!!

I hope everyone has a very wonderful and happy Thanksgiving! We're off to Chicago to spend some time with our daughter, Cate, her boyfriend and his family. I don't think I'll be on much until early next week.

Be good, stay warm and enjoy your families!

Wow! Slow day here!!

Not much to report on my end. All is well. Class was fun last night :) hubby had chores when I got home :) that was awesome! Were having a lasy evening here.
I will be purchasing echo and brownie a blaze orange vest. We had a very young hunter walking our yard line this afternoon. No back tag. It makes me so nervous having people mi do not know are responsible hunting so close to us...
No back tag ? was he carrying a gun ? there is a minimum distance that they can shoot near a house.. If he was not on your land, there is no restriction for him to walk by .. usually the ones you see are not the problem ones.. the ones who sneak around are worth watching ..

Hi All!

Welcome jhw!

Terri, looks like it will be pups for you soon :)
Jim, scott was the one scoping the kid out. I am tuinking because he mentioned no tag he must have had a gun... but didn't think to ask that. Last year, we had a coyote hunter very close to the house shooting toward the house. When I say close, I am unsure of the distance. But it must have been pretty dangerous. Because scott left in his truck and found that hunting party and talked with them. I get that people will hunt in there. Thats no biggy to me. But I get worried about the people who are irresponsible. I have a brown horse and brown dog that are out all day. They do stay in the property. But you hear stories about cows and such being shot right in pastures. .. you know...I just worry.

Delisha, how are things? I hope you have seen some improvement. If the ones I have from you are pairs and such, you are welcome to eggs when they lay. I hope it works out for you.

gun, deer hunting , no back tag,, a No No ..

coffe was made when I got up.. Grandson made it.. I didn't know he knew how.. will wonders never cease ??

I keep a close watch on our dogs.. Dora , not so much, but Puppy, ... He is so tall , and some people just do not know exactly what a wolf looks like.. many years ago, we had a white dog shot in the field behind out house.. He was a little smaller than a Brittany .. He was actually not on our property, so I cannot get all sh!tfaced over it.. I suspect he was barking at the person with the gun.. that particular dog was certifiably crazy..

Had a rifle bullet through the window a few years back on opening day...
Who knows how far it traveled.

Congrats on the new grand baby Stacy. I'm having a blast with mine.

Are your chickens doing better Del?

Wow lisa! That is so scary :-(
I am glad we have the property fenced now. With our dogs being so young, I would worry... more.
All this baby talk makes me jealous again! ;-)

jhw! I hope you like it here.

cuties, my sis used to buy orange Halloween T-shirts (after the holiday) on clearance and put them on her dog every time she let them outside. Way cheaper than something made for a dog. Good luck.

Lisa, that is just way too scary. I'm glad noone was hurt.

Safe travels, Irish and everyone else. And have a happy and warm thanksgiving if I don't have time to check in again.
