RB, still at Fox as an LTE...... for now. I recently had a discussion with the Dean about that. Of all the 2 yr campuses, Fox has the highest enrollment and the smallest staff. Since this position should really be a PT job, I asked the Dean if that was in the works....... of course not. Even though the UW was allocated funds to increase our staff, that money was funneled to close a budget hole. Somehow this does not seem right to me; if you are given $ for something, you spend it on that specific item or thing and not whatever you wish to spend the $ on.

I agree with you here Mel, but "plugging holes" in the budget is top down in WI right now,,,,
Remember when the guv took $30 million of the funds the feds returned to the state from the federal mortgage fraud settlement to "plug a hole"?

good morning, still working on my first cuppa.. I have to get ready to go get my Blazer from the fixit guy..

we have about 3 more inches of new snow here.. my gas cans are in the Blazer, so I have a good excuse to not plow.. and all the chicken feed is in there also..

speaking of feed.. the chickens ate a whole 50 pound bag of the new feed in one day.. I sure hope the egg production reflects it ..

Marlene (guinea lady) called me last night.. she went all out of the chicken and guinea business last fall ? medical reasons.. well, she is going nuts.. has plans to order (she says a maximum of) 15 assorted chicks this spring.. right ,,, and oh yes,, 15 cornish/X too.. hmmm that sounds like 30 to me.. she is 77 years old.. see what the rest of you are in for ?? chicken math is non-curable ..

The sun is finally out! Nice to see it, now I should get outside and shovel the 1 1/2-2 inches of snow out there.....

Went back to kickboxing last night......... after months of not really doing much in the way of exercising, I was able to figure out how out of shape I really am...... and silly me signed up for a 5k run the first weekend in March. Nothing like a deadline for motivation! I found another run that I would like to do in May, the Chocoholic Frolic! Exercise and chocolate!

I suppose I should figure out something to do.

Good luck figuring out all the freeloader problems. I did some digging but I think you covered all the main issues like length of day, fat hens, temp, nutrition, etc. etc....
