Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Gasp! I'm not making the pancakes!! Guess it's good you got your own paddle powered bug zapper installed!

Deli... Ganache and Ghirardelli are actually still alive. She's not laying yet and I've never seen him doing the rooster romp. They are much smaller than I thought they'd be, but do have the same high line of the back your English do and good fluffy butt.

Went to Tractor and Supply earlier today. They're getting everything set up for next week- the chicks will hopefully be in! I don't plan on buying any there- the kids just like to go and look.

Sassy? ME????????????

I was not the one who commented on Jim being born in 1876, was I?

And where do you get 2 wheels from, Miss Crabby pants? Those must be some pretty good meds they got you on. Maybe you need a good jolt from Jim's zapper to clear your head.

Jim, BFF didn't have a basement? We used to get snow on the floor of the cottage up north. Brrrr! My grandma made a few of those feather ticks too. She called them pajinnas (sp?)

Kris, cute fluffy butts! I'd let the bator go thru the weekend. I had a hatch similar to yours last spring. I set them all the same day, but there was a 4 day difference between the 1st hatcher to the last.

And you can tell your DD that the kitty has lots to squish.

Beanzie, good luck with the hatch.

Expressions? Hmmmm, I'm thinking the occasional hairball on the carpet isn't so bad afterall.

Mel, happy birthday to DH!

Bigz, ya just had to mention plowing, didntcha? Looks like we will be doing just that the next 3 days. So much for my road trip to Portage.

Hi All!

Just sitting here watching the new season of "Vikings"!

Jon talked to me a little on Facebook. He's looking froward to getting back to work but he is missing home a bit.

Not looking forward to more snow! So sick of it! The chickens are too!

Night All!

So far no snow..but this cold weather sure bites..
Roosters got into it big time yesterday and i had to take out thread. I still have a bleeder in the basement..a bleeding comb sure is ugly. It seems to have stopped. I don't want to put too many stitches in.

thanks!
And thanks everyone for the tips and tricks. I am thinking that we had some issues with our turner for a few days last week where it was making funny noises..maybe it was not turning as well as it should have. always lots of ifs. There is one more egg that we thought we saw movement from...could have been the eyes. Thanks CC I will give it through the weekend.
If anyone around here has one or two more chicks that they want to spare or sell...would love to add just a few more beauties to this camp!

well looks like we are only getting a couple inches this weekend. Need to go grocery shopping this weekend sometime! I usually go on fridays but I am home again with ds...he is better but not full steam and I could see his teacher sending him home for being lethargic...
hope everyone has a good weekend!

I can't believe we are getting more snow, I am so tired of it. We locked up our chickens into the coop last night, was -15 this morning. We were getting 12+ eggs a day and probably they will slow down again. Grr..

Our bad luck continues, I thought things happen in 3s, but perhaps it will stop at 4:
1) Hot tub fire
2) Torn muscle in calf
3) Lightening strike that took out 1 computer, every port on the network switch that had something plugged into it, and then the network port on another computer.
4) My '14 Subaru Outback with only 4,200 miles on it now has a cracked windshield. Rock perhaps?

On my way to work I smelled burned rubber and all I could think of was that my car engine was probably on fire. Luckily it wasn't.

Jim - I didn't realize you were getting a Defib... my sister in law (DSiL?) got one a couple of years ago (at age 42 - ouch!). There was a pretty tramatic lifesaving rescue going on at her house prior to the Defig.. but that's another story.

Mel - Happy Birthday to your hubby! Did you figure out if you are making dinner or going out? Mine's on Monday.... told the fam we were going out! - I ain't doin' any cooking on my B-Day weekend. :)

I'm suppose to be working, so I better get focused on that. Have a good day everyone!

good morning,,

got my ad to go through on Puppy Find.. I followed the rules and posted only one puppy (Bear)
I guess rules don't apply to everyone because there were a couple of ads with multiples ..

Kristi, I usually let me eggs run a couple of days over the due date.. However, those eggs usually are the ones that have issues when hatching..

I took some pictures last night.. the puppies are going over 10 pounds.. gaining a pound about every other day ..

Pick a dog, any dog .. Dora just got done feeding them,,
the one on the right is checking out the lock on the gate that I just latched.
they know where the exit sign is..
as always, you can click on the picture to enlarge it..
