According to the badge on the front they are both 220 and yes I attached them together. I was thinking that I could have a wire shorted out somewhere as I only replaced the main wire coming in thru the top. I'll give it a look over at another time. My main goal now is to get the temps where they should be. When I had them both running the other one seemed to heat up faster, maybe the heating element is going bad on the main one with the turner, I'll check it over tomorrow if temps aren't up and change it out with the extra one.good evening,
I just came in from the shop,, I made another hatching tray,, It is only one inch deep..that will make it easier to see the chicks when they hatch,,
I have to add extenders to each side yet, but I don't want to open the hatcher to measure because there are eggs pipped..
It can wait until tomorrow..
Tracy, are those both 220 units ? did you fasten them together ?
I took the lone chick out of bator #1 before,, now there is another one in there.... He must have just hatched,, still all wet .. I know it is not one of mine, must be Pang's ..
Amyable,, did you mean ,,,,??![]()

Annie got called into work tonight,, sooo, no carrot cake,, but my chili was great,, I just might have another bowlful before bedding down..
the kids brought home some sugar covered pizza crust.. It was more like dessert than a meal.
..........jiminwisc........
I found the tray where the newest chicks are hatching from.. I transferred the eggs into the new tray until tomorrow when I open the hatcher to remove chicks ..
Quote: so I assume you sold the mennonite guy the 110..
If it is cold where you have them, you might want to toss a quilt over them..
I would plug any unnecessary holes, too..there is such a volume of air in there, I don't think a chick would suffocate ..
He's taking the other 220 one and a friend will be taking the 110 bator. I'm still waiting for the call back from the menonite man, if it's not soon I have others that want it. I'll see how the temps are in the morning and if it's not high enough I'll cover it like you suggested. I plan on building a wall around it in the garage and filling it with insulation to help hold the heat in. I did plug all the holes the other day as their are enough vents to regulate the air. BTW, where do I get some of those 220 bulbs? I somehow burnt out the bigger one today moving the bators in place. We have Ace Hardware here and Walmart. I just never needed them to know where to purchase.so I assume you sold the mennonite guy the 110..
