Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Sunshiney Friday and already getting hot again. Been a busy few days here, trying to catch up on everything that wasn't done (as usual) while I was gone. Luckily the brat is stuck in FL for today, so I won't have to deal with him too!

Ducks and pheasies doing good so far. State tester expected tomorrow to finally be able to sell some of these birds.

Gotta deal with the bumblefoot on one of my ducks tho. Got all the puss out (in the afternoon) and had a nice hole. Then yesterday evening there was not really any puss but seems like I didn't get the dang kernel all the way. Dang it! Hope sclark will stop by today and maybe be able to help me out with that.

Meanwhile we have to deal with a big fat racoon that got to one of our ducklings and killed it (again one of my favorites). Now we secured everything a bit more and try to get the sucker.

I feel your pain with your loss via raccoon invasion. Anybody heard of this stuff? I hope it works, as one got my sweet bantams, Clint & Bonnie

Happy 4th..

thank you Kendra and Cuties for the wonderful day..

I loved that you brought Theo.
They played so well together.

Blake is such a delightful child. I love his enjoyment for life. Joe said he was the best story teller he ever met.
Sydney was unusually quiet.

CS, he calls them soccer bombs; they are more like super sized snaps (those little wads of paper you throw on the ground that explode).

ETA. Correction: Soccer bombs are big firecrackers, the other is known as Mega Snaps ( he calls them adult sized).

Grilled chicken for dinner tonight. :)

My 4th started with a bang,,,,had a "mangy" coyote make a run on the chickens early this morning. I happened to be at the right place at the right time,,,,one less 'yote in the nort'woods

Evening, Happy 4th! Hope everyone had an enjoyable day. We took the day sort of easy...clean out all the rabbits plus the young chickens and turkeys. My sister came up to hang out with us, it gives our dad a chance to talk with someone else. We now have PT coming in twice a week to work with him especially on his balance. As long as he goes slow and remembers his walker we are all good!

Working on another unit, have to have it ready by the 15th....this one is a full paint, clean and carpet job.....what a mess!

Smashed up some strawberries and will be having strawberry shortcake shortly....letting my mom nap a bit longer.

The kids are working on their fair projects as their fair judging starts July 14th.

Have a nice evening!

I am home again, I wasted all afternoon,, I should have stayed home and got something done,

I did locate my trowels, magnesium float and 3 edging tools.. so tomorrow I do not have any more excuses to not pour some concrete.. I moved the mixer to the work area and have 12 bags of mix in the Blazer..

I see another guinea in the hatcher..

tomorrow I have to take 30 keets to Marlene.. she is selling them like hot cakes.. She has a real nice sign for chickens and guineas.. she is a crafty lady and quite artistic ..

Jim P's final count for keets is 50% about average for his eggs.. (26 keets out of 54 eggs)

...........jiminwisc.......
