Day after the election to everyone....I like the history that was made...wins for the good guys! Nothing but mostly smart voters.

We cut up our own, and have a commercial grade grinder. We take the clean boned out meat for sausage to a place that guarantees you get your own meat back. You have to have it 10lb packages for each batch...they place your meat in new boxes, and freeze it till they get to your order, and do your meat separate.

Rainy here....gonna get a little wet hunting, I guess.

good evening,, I have been doing calculations for parts for the plucker on and off all afternoon,,
One dimension I am lacking is the exact diameter of my plastic 55 gal barrel .. I looked it up online and came up with 22.3 " ,, that seems correct from my feeble memory ..

I am glad pre election hype is all over.. I was getting tired of hanging up on recordings..
too bad our elections have boiled down to choosing the lesser of two evils; so to speak..

this was a perfect day to take a nap..

now I am not tired,, if there is nothing on tv it is going to be a long haul until bed time..

Tommy must be lonely,, he is not going into the coop at night.. there is nobody in there but him,, He has begun to roost on the deck railing .. and NO, I am not going to find him a mate .. He can buddy up with the rooster.. IDK where the rooster is spending his nights ..
and NO, I am not getting him a mate either ..

Hi All!

Yea, when the boys and I could deer hunt we always did our own too. The oldest and the youngest both worked for a professional processor for a few years too. Laundry was so fun those years.......NOT!

Wow. 9 hours and no post? Not even JIM?! Just... Wow.

Was snowing most of yesterday and all last night. Now it's done but we have an inch of wet yucky stuff laying on the ground and mucking things up. The ducks and chickens didn't much care though and have a blast digging. Of course...

Not much else new here. Recovering my lumbar from Friday and am actually able to move upright again. Trying to fix dinner for later in the crock (BBQ pulled pork) and see what other damage I can do while increasing my rear sides size.

Currently we get anywhere between 3-7 duck eggs a day but only 1 (out of 5) chicken egg. Molt is still going here but they should soon be over that after a month, right?

Aretha, sclarks BO, is settling in nice but can never decide if she wants to sleep with the ducks or other chickens. And of course comes up every afternoon between your legs to get her daily cuddles and pets. Silly cute chick! Seems she likes it here.

The brat finally left after another long week and mentioned that he won't be back til Xmas. Can someone mentally see me happily jumping up and down?!? of course now I gotta get the manners back on his dog that now jumps up on people. Don't you just love it.

Enough for now. Happy deer hunting to all that do (I sure don't. Can't take out animals like that) and warm relaxations to all others on here. Later!

Time to go hunting...I think 2 1/2 hours is enough today. Then the meeting at Camp when I get home. The annual fundraiser is Nov 13 from 4:30 to 7....$8 advance and $8.50 door for broasted chicken, wedges,slaw,ho-made pies, and coffee or milk.

So now my husband is making my son (who doesn't want to kill anything) go hunting with him to try to get the big one. I personally hope they don't get it. It's an amazing deer for around here. I posted a trail cam picture last year around this time. Here it is again. I know he has a new picture, but I don't even know what SD card it's on. Last time he had his heart set on a big one, it got hit by a car. And the guy who hit it had it mounted. LOL!!!

too nasT to do anything outside too late to light a fire in the garage to work in the shop too.. tomorrow is another day,,

whose tag will be on the big buck ? that is who the honor will go to.. DH should have waited for him,, not much bragging rights on somebody else's tag.. regardless of who shoots it,,

our hunting gang had this discussion a few times ..

I let/made all 3 of my children go hunting.. at least once.. 1 son 2 DD's.. then they had the right to like or dislike hunting.. nobody got yelled at for passing up any shots,, but they put their time in..
I dislike hearing anyone who never were even in the woods saying that it is so unfair ..
walk the walk, then talk the talk ,,,,,,,,,,
