Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

good evening , looks like the weather is on everybody's mind..
one good thing about early snow,, if it stays,, the frost will not go so deep..

right here we are sort of on the edge of the deep snow forecast.. I suspect we will get about 4 inches .. I plan on just packing down the snow on the driveway for a good hard base for later plowing..

I got all the sprockets and bearings today.. later tonight I will be laying them out on the kitchen table and taking measurements ..

Evening...hope everyone's health continues to improve, or remains good to go. It's more important than anything in this world.

Yep...the Camp already has a down payment for 2015. I know a few that will always attend....nothing wrong with that, eh! I enjoy it to Jim.

Cold sit in the snow this morning. A nice buck chased a doe right past me early this morning, but never slowed down to offer a shot. He had love on his mind for sure. Ah to be young again.

Me and suzie don't visit the doctors either...hope it doesn't come back to bite us.

Hi All!

Nothing new here, the s*** will miss us, but we'll still get pretty cold. My coops are not ready!

Night All!

good morning,

snow here,, I didn't go out,, but I looked out.. what I saw I didn't like,, the wind is blowing it around,
that always makes it feel colder..

I have to go find a 1 inch shaft and a 3/4 inch shaft today..

Morning all! raining here this morning. Gotta run to the store before it turns to snow and the slush freezes to the roads.

I opened the guinea coop late yesterday morning, boy did I get yelled at. Then they saw that white stuff. Man, were they ******. Only one would venture out and it was trying to convince the other 4 that it really was alright to step on the white stuff - no go from the others. I scattered a little sunflower seed on the threshold to give them something to do. After the snow stopped and most of it melted from the grass, they did come out for a little bit, but really stuck around the coop area. Silly birds! It is really going to be a long winter for them, they are pretty entertaining though.

Home sick again today...I am starting to feel quite a bit better though. NOthing like a few days off to help. I may venture out today...I am out of corn!
NO snow here; just a lot of MUDDY MUD! I would rather have that frozen but we have 37 and rain so no luck.

Big old Pittie foster was shivering on the porch...I caved.

He is happy now!
Stay warm all! TerriOwhostillhastofeedchickensjimyouluckysonofabuck

good afternoon,

this morning I looked out and thought it looked nasT,, then I ventured out and confirmed it..

drove to the steel yard and bought 2 shafts.. had to use 4WD all the way,, town must be waiting for it to quit snowing before plowing the roads..

Tommy spent all night snuggled against the patio door.. the geese must be either under the deck or in the coop.. no sign of them or the rooster , yet..

I am waiting for the first coat of JB Weld to set up.. I threw the instruction away a long time ago, so I can only guess how long it takes to set.. a couple of hours should do it before I can carefully handle the sprockets..

I have to go to F&F for some chain links ..
however, I don't want to go unless they plow the roads first..

Dan, maybe of we keep setting her up. big fam will not be able to resist a comment..

Winter Evening All...yep 4 to 6 hours for handling Jim...24 for solid weld....I use the stuff enough that I went dang....forgot to pick some more up when I was at fleet yesterday.

No hunting tonight...NasT to the core here.

Fire feels good, and the beverage of choice is goodie.

Peace..bigz

Evening all.
No more snow so far, but it's quite good for me and driving. Knocked the exhaust pipe off from under the block and again right before the exit piece. Loud and dragging now. Just what I needed besides a not wanting to start battery. Of course I got the older one when SO exchanged them and got himself a new one...

What a cute foster TO! Wish I could take him and cuddle with him! And hope you feel better soon too!

Went for a short walk with my pit girl and she played kangaroo thru the snow, sampling it every few feet long. Must have been good as she kept doing it. Lol. Then I went out to get her a used vest. And it's sparkly PINK!

She wasn't quite sure what to make of it but better than her shivering every time we go outside (as SO has the fire burning hot inside). Pretty sure she will appreciate it next week when the first cold front hits!

For now I'm gonna lounge on the couch and read a book while enjoying some good chocolate and cuddly company. Later all and stay safe and warm!
