Happy Thanksgiving fellow Cheeseheads.
Off to celebrate Thanksgiving with family soon.

I got my deer all skinned and cut up yesterday, and tomorrow will package it all up and take some to have sausage and ring balogna made. I grind my own burger and seal it.

Went out to the hen house to give them some fresh, warm water and some oatmeal, which they still don't really like. It's even warm.

AND found my first egg! No shell and frozen, but hey, an egg.
The Delaware was really singing/bragging maybe?
Before I leave I'll check the nest boxes again. Maybe a shell next time.

almost noon,, nobody here yet ,, I just put the dressing and sweet potatoes into the oven,
turkeys are just on hold ..
not going to start the potatoes until people start showing up.. mashed potatoes don't hold well..

Frankie had 4 puppies , the last time I checked.. that is enough for a first time mom ..

I suppose I should go and shave.. I hate that chore..
but as long as two SO"s are coming with the kids, I should look presentable..

it sure smells good here,,

no pies,, but Annie made a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.. our son Tim's birthday was last Saturday,, he chose the cake.. I raised him well.. he is 53 ..
but we still call them the kids..
my youngest sibling is 68 and we all refer to ourselves as "the kids"...

I went to the Dr,, am back, ate, and as soon as I change clothes I will be heading out to the shop..
truck wouldn't start this morning,, It did start after I came back home..

Tell Joe to quit worrying about Cookie and the cold.. your best bet is to leave her outside all the time rather than bringing her in and putting her back out.. both of my dogs lay out in the yard in the rain, snow or whatever.. weather does not bother these dogs.. they use the dog coop too, but they hang their heads out of the door..

some dogs just like it outside.. my brother had an Olde English sheep dog.. his neighbor called the cops on him because the dog had no shelter and was lying in the snow.. when the cops came to his house my brother took them to where the dog was .. she was lying on top of her dog house at minus -10*F ..brother told the cop,, why don't you see if you can get her to go into the house.. End of that situation ...

She lovees it outside...she just does not like any of the places he has made for her..lol If it is really bad she crawls under the coop.

Happy cold Thanksgiving morning to everybody!

BBP the funny thing is: ALL our cars are Honda. All Accords. Lol. The one I drive is 24 yrs old and has about 325k miles on it. Rusted good but runs like a good deer (Oki, bad analogy lol)! That's why we jumped on the chance for one in better shaped. Wasn't meant to be

That's funny. I have an Accord also. The only other car I've ever had that was any good was a 94 Toyota Camry. I sold that with 280,000 on it. It still ran perfect, just had a motor break for one of the power windows and the ac didn't work very well. I got an impala after that. BAD choice. I also had a Ford Escort that was a POS and a Labaron Convertible that was a huge waste of money. I plan on selling the Accord in the spring and getting something different. It will be a Toyota, Lexus, Honda or Acura.

the last of out company just left.. we had a wonderful time.. ate too much .
cut into only one of the two turkeys,,
lots of left over stuffing,, that is what I will llive on for the next week..

final tally of pups.. 3 males 2 females..

Frankie was not very sociable with any of our company.. she is fine with Annie and I handling her pups, but no strangers had better even look in her direction.. I would hate to be a burglar sneaking into our house tonight..

I had DD Barby tighten that set screw in the plucker for me,, her hands are smaller than mine,,

I do not like pumpkin pie.. but you can save a piece of that pecan pie for me,,
My niece said she was going to save a piece of whipped chocolate pie for me,, I will check tomorrow to see if that happened..
