Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

My dogs need baths, when can I bring them over?
We don't have a tub in this house and the shower head will not reach down far enough for the pup.

No guesses on the supper...
I made chili to go with yesterdays homemade bread.

the cabinet incubator 1500...and the hatcher is the 1550....i have had them plugged in for about a half a day....and im not so sure on the 1500...i have it on auto...and it rotates... to the one side 45...but then when it goes to the other its not at 45....so i am going to play with the manual....and if i cant get it figured out im going to have to call gqf....so hoping for the best....but my luck...i better not even think about it...just got done fixing a bursted water line...they say things happen in threes....
I looked up the 1500 information,, looks like a nice unit..

however, I think their egg trays are a little high priced,,

I bought mine from Cutler's supply ..

I use the T50 for chicken, guinea and sometimes duck, only you have to space the duck eggs apart, so you don't get as many in each tray as you would chickens..

make sure you measure the width of your turning racks,,

as long as your turners go through the cycles without binding or anything, I don't think it will matter too much if one side tilts a little more than the other.. but it does seem strange that it happens ..

Yep....tounge is a nice tender piece for sure. Good to hear a nice home was found for a puppy Jim.

I shared my tounge with cind at the bash a couple years ago....remember that cind?

i bought mine also from cutler supply...ahead of time...i have 6 pheasant blue trays and 6 yellow chicken trays....they are michigan based....so i get the products fast...i also bought spiral leg bands, netting and a net from them....great service...
also read into the unit to see what the problem would be in the manual it states that the factor sets it at silent and turns at different angles all the one hour time spans....weird...so one hour it will be super steep and then third hour from that it will only be at like 30 degrees and then hour later it will be horizontal...so i guess its running normal...im going to have 60 eggs in it...a week from now...starting to collect eggs tomorrow...and only keeping the good proportioned ones...

anyone have experience with peafowl hatching...i heard they require more humidity then chicken and pheasants....so i would have to get another one of these units and run at a higher humidity if thats the case.....goal is to get three of these incubators...by the end of next year...also doing a comparison on hatch rates compared to the coolerbator....hoping to see a big difference in the expensive units if not ill be pretty bummed out for spending 1600....compared to the 75 on the coolerbator...yikes....hopefully it was worth the investment...

the hatcher is running a bit to high i think its running at 71 percent humidity....any thoughts on that shouldnt it be during lockdown between 60-65 ....isnt 71 to high....the incubator is sitting right at 47 percent...which is right where i like it to be for this area....
thanks for any input...as you got a newbie on your hands...

also going to be building some hoop coops soon...and some of jims lovely grow out pens....anyways...have a great night...

And a very good tongue it was too!
Gee, I've been thinking the last couple of weeks that I should see if I could find a couple of tongues. They make great sauerbraten.

I'm sure birdmad is very proud of his units! LOL

Funny, the guineas are the bullies of the coop, but you should have seen how freaked out they got with 3 little lost sparrows in there! You would think it was a hawk flying around in there! 2 of the guineas got so freaked they left the coop and flew into the trees! I left to coop door open until after dark. Hope they went in, or I might have guineacicles in the tree.

Nothing more.... Night All!
