Just enough snow to be pretty, here. Four of my guinea hens refused to go into the coop last night but they were sure happy to go in this morning. They've never seen snow before.

no snow here to amount to anything.Good snowy morning to you all!
Our hens are slacking on the egg production and are also molting. I'm waiting for the molt to stop to do my finally clean out before winter and to add more shavings.
Enjoy the beauty of our first snow!
Hi everyone!!
Jim, you are the busiest retired guy I knowI love reading up on your days ♡![]()
Lots of work for us lately! The k8ddo had to spend the night at a friends last night. Because of early/long hours today.
Kildare, our Brahmas do not ever roost. I think maybe they are just too big to jump. We even made then low perches to try to train them. Only about a half a foot off the floor. But they just set on the floor around the Mini roosts.
cool looking trap .. almost makes me wish I had something to trap..If it's a mink you should be able to catch it in a small box trap. If your traps aren't working then maybe it's a weasel. This is not my picture but I make my weasel traps just like this one. The box must have a top on it to work...they removed it to take the picture of the inside.

You don't have to make a wood box... a small plastic tote type box will work. Just make sure you get the rat trap with the big yellow 'pan' like in the picture and that the jaw clears the top of the box when the trap fires. The entrance hole should be a two inch circle about three inches from the bottom.
Good luck
