Evening All. Cind lives in Burlington too Delisha. Two Cheeseheads in the same community, imagine that.

Nothing much new here. I have a new indoor wood fired boiler ordered. Hoping to have it installed the middle of next week. I'm really fortunate to have this mild weather in the meantime.
The birds are really enjoying all this extra free ranging with grass still available to eat.

Is the new boiler going to be more energy efficient ?
that would mean less wood to cut..
You might have to build a fire pit outside in order to burn up your quota of wood.. eh?

Yep, I've been by where Delish is moving to. Mid '70s I lived a little ways down from her place.

How bout that driveway to my house? That hill I live on is a killer. I am almost afraid of driving up it. The first thing in spring I need to find some people to help me take part of that hill down so I can see. I also need a turn around at the top of the hill. Thank goodness I have a large front yard and can do some digging up.



They had to put in a new furnace and a new well..I have new and updated electric. So it is ready for me to get in and update the inside a little at time. It will take some time, but that is all I have this winter since I will not be driving. Joe said I can live here until I can drive, but I am moving as soon as I get the carpet out, new floors down, paint, a fridge, and a bed in...looking at that list..I might be driving when I get that done!!! lol. I will find out next year when I can start driving.

I hope this will not be another slow www day..

I almost got enough space cleared in the garage for Ollie..

my biggest problem is that after I am cleaning for awhile, I get side tracked with just about anything that seems more interesting.

this is Zeke's second day of freedom, and he still hangs around the dog coop.. that is fine with me, but it sure is funny in a strange sort of way..

However, the two dogs did take their daily constitutional down to the river ..

Delisha, I have 6 black hybrid layers now.
but I want to get either red stars or Rhode Island Reds..
and maybe a white layer type like a Leghorn or that newish breed that I can't think of the name right off hand..
I would like to get them so they are old enough in early spring to start laying right away ..
that would mean getting chicks like right now..
I have the facilities for raising chicks in this cold weather..
especially if it doesn't get too nasT cold ..

Early Afternoon to all..... Yep Jim, it is suppose be very efficient for a wood boiler...time will tell for sure.

Hope all goes well for getting into the drivers seat delish. Freedom to come and go is truly a blessing we tend to take for granted.

Might be getting a few production reds from a guy at work to replace my unfortunate happenings earlier in the week. He got them as day olds May 1st and they haven't laid for him yet. He's not sure what he's doing wrong so hopefully I can get em rollin.
