Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I consider my guineas expendable.. I usually have from 24 to 30 in the spring.. by fall I would consider myself lucky to have half of them left.. this year I have 6 left..
guineas are not noisy all the time.. I don't mind their chatter.
I would rather listen to them than pick ticks off the dogs..
Our Dora had lymes.. it stiffened up her rear end so bad that she had trouble going up just one step into the house..

anybody wishing to mysteriously drop off guineas at my house are hereby welcome.. pm me for my address..

I would give up my chickens before giving up the guineas..

Cleaned the coop today. The girls have all fresh nests and shavings for the floor. Put cardboard up on the inside of the coop to stop the breezes and it works pretty well.

We give all our dogs the lymes shot and switched to an oral medication for fleas and ticks. We were having a flea problem with the inside dogs and the shepherd was lousy with ticks. My vet told me that things like frontline just don't really work. Once we gave the dogs the oral it was a week and no more fleas and ticks. A bit expensive but I now swear by it.

GOOD MORNING !!

Soinds like a fantastic morning on your end. Mine on the other hand not so much. I get to crawl under my truck and put on a new starter. Atleast it's not cold as all get out and windy as a mother.....

got up at 4:3o ,, now I am ready for a nap .. will have to do it quickly, bro Dave just called and will be here within an hour..

Fish Fry Friday to everyone...I think you will find Dae that your eggs will come later in the day for a while...It takes a hen usually around 25 hours to produce a egg...so the timing will run later, until they resort back to morning laying again.

Feels like Winter today for sure.

Shrimp and oven fries tonight.
