Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Kind of weird here. It's sunny, but we're getting a wind from the east,so I have lake effect snow,me only living about 1 mile west of the lake.
So it's sunny AND snowing! I got about 1" of powder this AM.

The latest edition to our "farm".
I'm NOT a cat person, but this cat kept bugging me while I was out at a friends farm working on her tractor. I got the MF (Massey) running and the lady asked me what she owed. I told her "I'll take that cat to help keep the mice out of my garage". Nope, she paid my son and I $20 to fix her tractor. In the following weeks my wife, kids, and I helped her out with her horses. The cat would always jump up on our truck or even jump in it when we got there. Eventually the farmer gave in,and we now own a cat! Even trade!
Not the greatest picture, but the right 1/2 of her face is tan,the left brown, split right up the middle.
No mice in the garage or house yet! I don't know why,she just lays around and sleeps on my furniture. HEHE! :)

Nice looking cat! Reminds me of the ol' mother cat we had on the farm growing up. She really cleaned up the mice and gophers.

Yeah,I think I've been conned!
Real nice cat in the beginning, now, just lazy! She's a keeper though. She lays behind me on my "computer chair" when I'm on the internet. My kids call it HER chair now.

Back at the grind today, break just didn't seem long enough!

We have officially started the renovation project to turn one of the kids old bedrooms into an office/craft room. DH got about a 1/3 of the new flooring in last night.

Still no eggs! The hens are loving their ff, eggshells, etc but they aren't spitting out eggs?

Just found a weasel carcass outside in the yard! I believe it to be an ermine, as it is not very long. I'll try to get a good picture of it. First time seeing one for me, so I'll leave it to experts to properly identify it.

Chickenscratch - Our chickens have really picked up on the egg laying. They are getting light therapy.

Yep, Ermine indeed...they can really kill, even though they don't look very big...they are pound for pound the best killer....
