Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Just proved out all the sizes of those pans. Are they really worth the price?!

I don't think they are worth that much, BUT, I would not give up the one I have..
It is so nice to cook one thing, empty the pan , wipe it out with a paper towel and go right on to the next thing.
I would like the small one for omelets .. and just for eggs in general..
we have so much kitchen equipment in pans and kettles and mixing and serving bowls. I think we could outfit two restaurants ..

we came a long way since our first apartment where we ate our meals off of a large cardboard box for two weeks..
and we sat on the floor..

Snow is sliding off the steel roofs today. Just finished shoveling the amounts that came off so far....man that stuff is heavy and hard on the wrists.

Those pans make great hash browns too....don't forget to add the onions to them.... LOL!

The snowmobilers are out in full force today.....nice day to be outside doing something...wish I was fishing today instead of cleaning up the dreaded snow.

Where does your son go hunting Cind? Do they just wing it, or hire a guide?

that's IT !!! I can't watch anymore..
I don't think there is a miracle big enough for Carolina to make something out of this game..

Neither team really played like the super bowl was on the line or was it just me

I thought it was a very piss poor attempt by both teams. Boring! I'd have been miffed if I had dropped all that cash on tickets just to see that. I am glad to see that Carolina lost though. Was not expecting that at all.

Hi All!

I have 3 good stainless steal fry pans and my well broke in set of cast iron. I use the small stainless for omelets.
Really BigZ! Hash browns NOT cooked in an iron pan? I think they were made for frying potatoes!

Adam had won his hog hunting trip from a gun magazine or web site. It was somewhere in Texas, I could find out if you want. From what I understand, the hogs are so bad down there they are grateful for anyone who wants to come hunt them.

Night All!

Carolina lost because I picked them to win, that is how it always goes..
I saw more exciting games during the regular season.

Yup, onions, a touch of garlic , salt and pepper. Now you have hash brown.

My dad took a campbells soup can and cut the safety rim off of one end. cut the other end out as if you were opening the can.. then he tossed the potatoes into the pan, and took his one of a kind chopper and cut the potatoes into hash browns. that can lasted for many many years.

Potts hot dog stand in Ft Meyers , Fla made what they called the Mess..
chopped ham and sausage, home style potatoes cut small,
onion, garlic salt, paprika, salt and pepper, get all that working and then stir in a couple of eggs to hold it all together.. probably why I had a heart attack..

Cindy, I have many cast iron skillets and pots, too..
I use them often.. Annie also has a few of those painted cast iron pots..

I think there are some wild pigs in southern west Wisc.
all you need to hunt them is a small game license, I guess.
Florida has lots of these wild hogs, too..
If they are anything like the wild boar we ate in Germany, they are well worth harvesting..

Huh, the time on the puter screen in 9:10 AM my cell phone says it is 8:52 AM.. WTH ??

I got an email from Sunnyside Hatchery. they will take orders for started pullets, but they won't be available until August.. and as of right now, they don't have a price for them, yet..

I was thinking the same thing. It really was a Stupid Bowl this year. No offense worth bragging about on either team. I missed the National Anthem, which I saw later on line - that was the highlight of the event.

Morning to everyone...yep, it was a defensive game which made it less exciting....but I loved the beating Newton took and kept me cheering the whole game!

I liked the singing sheep commercial the most.

Just wondering Cind. Yep, I've heard Texas has a lot of pigs, but I won't being that hunting trip in this lifetime anymore. I'm sure I'd enjoy the hunt as well as the wild lean pork. The way animals are suppose to be.

Rib cut pork chops for supper tonight....talking about the pigs made me hungry for some....wish it was the wild though. Yep, we use the cast iron too, and sometimes change off pans to be able to compare results. Hard to beat cast iron for almost anything.
